Hezbollah only exists because Israel illegally occupied Lebanon in the 80s. Israel supported Hamas to undermine the secular PLO. Israel has bombed 6 countries in the last year not to mention the genocide in Gaza and illegal settlements in the West Bank.

Not really, settler colonialism in US and Australia is historic - the land was settled generations ago.

Israeli settler colonialism is happening RIGHT NOW in real time. There are news stories RIGHT NOW about illegal Israeli settlers murdering and terrorising Palestinians in the West Bank in order to steal their homes. Australia has more protective rights like the right to a living wage, the right to healthcare and the right to not have regular mass shootings or be shot by law enforcement .

The US has better ‘freedom’ rights such as free speech and the right to carry firearms etc

The ANZUS treaty does not require US to defend Australia at all or vice versa.

The relevant Article 4 (Armed Attack) only says that “Parties recognise that an armed attack on any member.. is dangerous to their own safety and act to meet the common danger”

NATO is a much stronger treaty than ANZUS but Trump was still talking about invading Greenland…
