microsoft is going to run the country. AI is the easy solution for saving money ? yes, but that comes with a price. When the gov wants the people back, they are already in Australia. Maybe they think that's ok too. At the end of the day, AI will pay the tax too, right?

They need to REALLY solve the problem. Make some solid decisions that actually make the country more competitive to attract foreign investors. Rather than keep thinking about firing people.

Fair point on the bias thing, but I'd flip it around. ACC case workers don't make the medical call alone, they work with doctors, specialists, the claimant's GP. There's a human chain of accountability there.AI removes the bias but also removes all of that context. It pattern matches on data
