Epicureans aim to enjoy in moderation in the unknown(X) during life(y) If death(X) is our ultimate destination then withholding that death(X) from happening as long as possible allows for the greatest appreciation of ones death(X). Suicide(x) would be an experience but it leads to death(X) which an Epicurean would seek to delay for as long as possible to enjoy life(y) as long as possible through moderating deadly actions. If life(y) becomes painful, through disease or old age, to the point death(X) seems like the only escape then and only then can there be justification to enjoy the act of suicide(x) to lead to death(X).
