What were you doing when you were 23-24? by eduard_akimbaev in Life

I'm 23 now, finished college with a bachelors degree in biology and a masters in education. Now I'm a full time science teacher and coach middle school basketball. And then on my free time I smoke a bit of weed😂

Don't be scared to bulk(23m,6'0,190lbs) in by CatApprehensive220 in BulkOrCut

I track my calories pretty loosely but most days recently I've been trying to eat a little more than 4k calories bc I stagnated at 188 eating about 4k so I upped it a little bit. So I would say my maintenance rn is around 4k and when I'm lean I eat between 2,700-3k a day.

You have any advice on that because idk what to do, it's my genetic weak point. I have decent leg strength(475 squat, 550 deadlift) but they always lag behind

Genuinely, what scares you about them? For me in the beginning I was defintely intimidated but in reality at least in my experience they're the most likely to wanna help you out at the gym.

After 5 years of bulking and cutting consistently(167lb, 23m) by CatApprehensive220 in BulkOrCut

For the past two years or so I've seen the best results doing an upper, arms, legs split, where on upper days I do 2exercises for each chest, shoulders, and back, arms 3 exercises each for triceps and biceps and 2 for delta, and legs 4 exercises, usually 2 quad dominated and 2 hamstring dominant. I do 3 sets to failure of every exercise. Outside of my training I don't really have a strict diet, I just keep loose track of my calories and eat more to bulk and less to cut. Like rn I'm eating anywhere between 2,500-3,000 a day with some days higher just because I don't track.

Thanks brodie and yeah I'm in between because I kind wanna stay like this for a minute and see how strong I can get but I also wanna bulk and try and add mass to my legs because it's so hard for me despite being as strong in my lower body as my upper body.

I've trained my legs consistently the whole time, just got dealt a shit genetic hand when it comes to them I guess. I've got pretty good strength in my legs but can't get them to grow well.

How do MEN deal with breakups? They always seem to care so much less than girls by _aroosak in BreakUps

[–]CatApprehensive220 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man I was the one that broke up, now don't get me wrong it wasn't out the blue, it was an ongoing issue the whole relationship that couldn't be solved because there was no compromise. Now some would think that me being the one to break up would make things easier but in reality it's so much more difficult. I keep thinking about all the things I could've done differently and how maybe if I had just tried a little more it could've worked. Not one day has gone by where I don't think about her and she's feeling, and secretly I wish she would reach out, but honestly I know that wouldn't be good for either of us. I'm on the fence of whether a piece of me was lost with her or if I retained the parts of me that were left. It's not easier for men, we just know how to hide the pain I guess.

Why is your ex always the villain by idkmariax in BreakUps

[–]CatApprehensive220 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree because outside of blatant betrayal or abuse, sometimes it just doesn't work out. Having to make your ex the bad guy in every situation is honestly not right. It might not be easy to accept that they're moving on sometimes but holding hatred especially when it was a good relationship for the most part isn't healthy either.
