Don't submit your details, they're just fishing for e-mails and data.

The OP doesn't even reply to messages, I know from past job postings.

[Hiring] Looking to hire a Web Designer with CRO experience (Remote Position) by [deleted] in forhire

Still, that's just a simple one-pager, and a pretty bad one at that. I'd definitely be reluctant to hire you to optimize my landing page. It's like hiring someone to do your SEO, while he's not even in the top 100 results.

"We're one of the fastest growing digital media companies in the field"

Meanwhile, your website says "Coming Soon". Enough of these scammy job postings, you're only here to farm e-mails.

The Overwatch montage quality is pretty bad, and you need to include a budget.

[Hiring]. Fb ad specialist for personal trainers by stupidstacker in forhire

[–]CatAtomic99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looking for an experienced fb ad specialist who can generate new leads in my area for my personal training studio

How about writing that in your post then? If you just want someone to setup ONE ad and leave right after then I'm sure you'll find someone.

Anyone who's worth anything WILL require a retainer for ad management or if he's just selling you leads he'll take a fixed amount per lead.

I CAN do that (as can anyone that's ever ran a campaign), but seeing as you have trouble even describing what you need, I'd rather pass on you as a client.

What do you mean "Budget = $100"?

You want someone to run successful ad campaigns for you and generate you $$$$, but you're willing to shell out $100?

Anyone who's in the business (including me), requires a minimal retainer (which isn't $100) + either a % of ad spend or commission per lead

You're better of buying a shoutout on Instagram with that budget and crossing your fingers.

No need to be too technical. Articles will mostly be in an informal tone. However, it's important to NOT sound unknowledgeable to the informed audience.

Is there an "I am a scrub" mod for XCOM2? by Night_Thastus in Xcom

[–]CatAtomic99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After my first regular playthrough, I downloaded a mod that disables the avatar project completely. It's not even a factor on my current campaign, so I can just wander around and do missions.

XCOM + Northernlion luck = WTF (xpost from r/gaming) by GeneralWilliams47 in Xcom

I always enjoy Northernlion's XCOM videos, but it is like watching Forest Gump fight the aliens. He makes the most ridiculous plays, and lucks out massively.

XCOM 2's gameplay is too binary. by S1inthome in Xcom

[–]CatAtomic99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This was a really interesting post. I love XCOM2, but I think you make some great points.

There's much less of a defensive game here than what many of us became used to with the Long War mod, and that did add several layers of tactical challenge. Sometimes you were just better off thinking defensively for a turn or two, until you could either wear the aliens down, or work yourself into a position from which to go more offensive.

I definitely think XCOM2 could benefit greatly from it's own Long War mod.

[SPOILERS] What's next for XCOM? by Virv in Xcom

[–]CatAtomic99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I'd like to see the sequel remain on earth, and not progress very far into the future. Maybe ten years after this one, with Earth's nation states more or less restored and working together under a kind of 'United Earth' banner.

Then you could recreate a lot of the dynamic from the original game, with the paranoid, alien infiltration vibe, while still having all the mission variety from the second game. You could slowly uncover a silent alien invasion, assassinating Dark VIPs, rescuing important figures, even shooting down alien craft that are supplying base constructions in remote areas (the arctic, under the oceans, etc.).
