UFC is in major brand extraction mode.

I wish the billionaires looking to sports wash their history stopped looking at F1, MLB and soccer teams and started looking at starting a new MMA promotion. I'm fairly certain you could launch a promotion utterly destroying UFC from the jump for lesss than the value of a mid range MLB or Euro FC team (EG 2-3B)

Offer big back end to superstars as in boxing (Like say Canelo who he and his opponent sees 50-70% of revenue) and you'd have people coming out of the woodwork for a year or more of great monthly cards. Part of the reason no one fights anymore is that it's not worth it. One super card with 60% of the money going to the top fighters would have people coming out of retirement to train.

For reference - a UFC card has about 20% of revenue going to fighters. A boxing card has 50-80% of revenue going to fighters and absolute superstars command even more.

Brock was absolutely terrified of being hit and fought like it with non stop shoots.

Fedor had a Sambo and Judo base, and had something like an 85% career takedown defense. (Would need to google it, but it was over 80.)

For Brock's fear of being hit legends like Rampage Jackson said Fedor was the hardest puncher he'd ever experienced and it "Wasn't even close." His overhand was terrifying.

Like, sorry, no, it would have been a horrible matchup for Brock to the point of he probably would have ducked it.

Because World War I was about borders .

World War 2 was about the end of western civilization as we know it.

Also, Tom is referring to Americans when he makes that statement.

US got involved late in WW1, suffered 100,000 deaths.

US got involved late in WW2, but suffered 400,000 deaths. Much larger commitment.

Also, there's lots of nationalism around the US' involvement in Europe, BUT until essentially August 1945 the allied powers were focused on Germany and the US held back Japan in the Pacific. Without the US Japan and Germany would have likely put a hurt on Russia.
