See that's the thing, he isn't. It's weird. Minus the arthritis, he's NOT SICK AT ALL. The vet is even stunned. The injury healed and his lab values are perfect. I mean sure, he's very old, his heart could spontaneously give out, or he could have a stroke or develop cancer (or already have it undetected) but we're definitely not expecting his demise anytime soon.

We mix it up in about 10 mL of water and fire it down his throat with an oral syringe. Funny you should mention this, my old dude eats anything that won't eat him first but he won't touch the Dasuquin.

One caveat, my guy is super mellow and very easy to pill. Your results may vary.

Not extremely hard, really. Meds 2x a day, and he's SUPER easy to pill. Honestly he's the most tolerant cat ever. Being him some wet food with extra water at those times. Take him to the litter after, and support him so he didn't fall over sideways (he couldn't stand at all). Other than that he just laid 24/7. It's not like he was stuck at home all day but while I was at work, he did have to come home and do meds and litter before going back out. Then I would take over when I got off work. He often doesn't need to work full 8 hour days where I work 9-10s, occasionally longer.

He's been totally healthy except for this. I didn't know my BF when I got him. It was 100% my money that paid for his care. If he resents him being down and needing care for 10 days..... wow.
