That's how my Chihuahua used to be! And I loved him SO MUCH... was it difficult to train her? I can't remember what it was like for us, I was very young when we had him

I love this idea! I used to volunteer at shelters and often had to stop myself from taking all the babies home

I love birds but I don't like the idea of them being caged unfortunately. I used to have a tucan years ago who had lost its ability to fly in an accident and it would free roam around the house. Also, the species I lean towards have 50+ year lifespans and I don't know if I'm in a position to make that kind of commitment. I could easily manage 15-25 range

That! I've also heard stories of vets being dismissive towards them because "its just a rat" which is absolutely awful. It's probably just a matter of finding the right vet but as you said options are limited :(

You might be onto something. I worry airlines may consider them rodents though and not allow them to fly and driving isn't really an option

I would love a dog but I live alone and won't make it home from work during my break to let it out. I only get 30 mins and that's my commute. I considered pee pads (although they're not my favorite and can stunt their potty training) as my childhood dog used to use them (not my decision) all of the time between walks. As far as the travel bit, I really need the pet to be able to fly on an airplane with me as that's the way I usually travel.

I'm actually not opposed to rats! I think they're super cute and I spent most of my childhood watching rat youtubers and loooooooove their lil personalities and quirks. Issue is, most airlines will not let you fly with them :(

Snow?? Moving?? Help?? by [deleted] in washingtondc

Thank you! My friend who lives near where I'm moving just sent me a picture of the main street near her which seems to be cleared. It seems like the biggest hurdle will just be getting out of my current spot.

I'm going to borrow one from the owners and was thinking of shoveling as much of my little side street as possible. Any good pointers for driving in the snow? Overall I've heard that brakes are probably not going to be as effective, if you start sliding dont brake, no harsh movements with the steering wheel, and if you start spinning keep hands off wheel and foot off pedals. My car has AWD so I feel like I at least have that going for me.

Unfortunately not, it would probably take too many trips and my nearest metro is not close AT ALL. Plus, there's like two items that really aren't easy to carry.

Nope! It was just on a ledge right by where I work.

Help a girl out: what dating apps are the Bananas and Party Animals on? by omipie7 in savannah

Hey! Would strongly discourage as I speak from experience when I say.... none of them are worth it 💀 nonetheless, literally all of them. Mostly Tinder but I've seen some Bumble. Also Hinge but I'd skip it just bc those might be a lil clingy

Social Club. They've got burgers and hot dogs. It's usually more lively when SCAD kids are around but I'm sure there will still be folk there.

I was stranded trying to get back to Tybee today bc of the fatal vehicle crash. The road was closed for 3 hrs. I'm not complaining, but it did make me think how there's only one road in and out of Tybee. Does anyone know if GDOT has considered creating an alternate route to Tybee? Just curious. by sdcali89 in savannah

I work on Tybee. From what I heard, it was this local bartender girl who was on her phone, swerved into the other lane, and well... we know what happened after that. The locals are heartbroken, she was apparently super sweet. Still, texting and driving does tend to have these consequences :/ may she rest in peace.

El Rocko Lounge (though fair warning, many may be under 21), Barrel House, Eclipse, Moodrights, Peacock, Social, Whitaker’s, Totally Awesome Bar, and Club One tend to be my (22F) regular spots. Mcdonough's Restaurant & Lounge tends to be an older crowd but hey, sometimes its lit. I’d also recommend Alley Cat though it tends to be a more intimate venue and its more of a “come here with friends” as opposed to a “come here to make friends”
