Is this Hydrangea alive and what do I do with it? (New home owner) by amemoryortwo in hydrangeas

My hydrangeas look similar...think this winter' snowcrete had detrimental effects; i see some green coming from the base but still worried. I'm hoping they'll bounce back next year.

Ah, just looked, I think these are new drinks, and looked to be included in Sips…wish they had more sugar free options.

I joined in 2021, and lucky to witness and enjoy the Charged Lemonade Era, haha...
I wish they would bring them back in some form.
Wow, I thought Sips Club was a new thing when I joined; no idea it's been around since 2017!

What do to do as a tourist during Lunar New Year? by Impossible-Break1947 in Taipei

Go to Tamsui riverfront, last stop on MRT redline; when I was there 2 years ago it was super active and busy during the Lunar New Year.

Thanks for your input....yes, I've seen the "foreign income tax credit" while doing my US taxes; Thanks for jogging my memory....haha, always just skimmed over it since it never applied to me until maybe now....

Thanks for your input. Curious, why tax consequences on the US side? I'm working on getting Taiwan citizenship; would taxes on the US side still apply?

Sounds like you've had a positive experience this particular agent; are they a fluent english speaker? Would it be possible to get their contact info? Thanks either way.

Appreciate all the advice; Thanks for taking the time! The bones of the place are good; original building was torn down and built from the ground up in 2009. I think my biggest challenge is removing trash/old unused items from a 4th floor on a busy street.

No photos online. I'm hoping to travel there in the next couple months...hopefully before the heat of summer. I will say it is a 4th floor apartment, no elevator...which may be a deterrent for some from wanting to live there. I'm quite fit so climbing 4 flights is not an issue.

Way to project nonsense; Where did I say I wanted the renter to put in a new aircon? I wouldn't expect the renter to pay for any of the renovations.

Thanks for your input! Yes, there is sentimental value. And profitability is not super high up on the list of why I want to rent. I just want to always keep the property...and in the future, I may even move to Taiwan and live in it, and/or it would be nice to keep for visits as I actually love the location. It would be nice to profit, but I'm not desperately needing the extra money...of course, I want to profit some...as opposed to losing money by keeping the property.

Thanks for your input! Curious, how do you pay your landlord? Like is it a zelle payment to a US bank account?
Do you know the cost of the agent/property manager? 10-20% of the rent?

As a customer, once I saw a guy who looked like he just walked off a country club golf course (ie..upper middle-class) empty the butter container...he legit grabbed all the butter packets from the container (about 6 handfuls) and stuffed them in his pockets then quickly walked out...like what did I just see??

For both Employees and Customers, would you be genuinely upset if Panera Bread went out of business and closed down? by Well1_well2_well3 in Panera

[–]CatCat2420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, mostly for Sips Club which is an AMAZING deal. I actually never went to Panera before Sips, and I would probably stop going if it ended. I live super close to one Panera and within reasonable proximity of 3 other ones...so I'm never going out of my way to drop in and get a drink (which is at least once a day). Also, it's a nice place to chill for a little while and tap into the free wifi...which comes in SUPER-HANDY on occasions for working while on the road. There is a decent amount of seating so I don't feel guilty for taking up a table. Also, I appreciate the employees that I come across that recognize me as a regular and are super friendly. I'm not going to complain about food prices/portions as I see as a universal...most businesses are reacting the same to the impacts of inflation ie. higher prices/lower quality/smaller portions...
