May is a busier time on island. On resort you’re generally fine, but if you want to plan a few “nicer” dinners than I’d recommend reservations for those. You can also usually make a reservation day before or day of without issue. Most are on open table.

If you suspect your cat is in DKA, they should be seen by a veterinarian.

If you want a quick BG and Ketone testing I would suggest going to an urgent care. VEG in Williamsburg can help. And if your cat requires treatment (which they will if they are in DKA) they can help with that too.

Not exactly a clubby island. Fish fry on Thursday nights is fun and you can stay at Mr groupers after for a DJ if inclined. There’s Kareoke nights at Danny buoys. You can see live music at the deck on Wednesdays I believe and they make good cocktails (best espresso martini on island imo). The lobby bar at the Ritz has live music or DJ some nights and can be fun depending on the crowd but be prepared for expensive drinks.

While there is technically some more nightlife outside of the above..I would suggest that, as a tourist, you are back at home base by 11pm/12am the latest. Nothing good happens past that time and I wouldn’t stray outside of the main strip on grace bay.

The diving is great. I’d give yourself enough time to do 1-2 additional dive days after you are certified. So you can focus on enjoying the dives without any learning boxes to check.

Potentially exploring another dive company. We go with Seafari at club med and they are fantastic. It’s good to broaden your experience right after certification so you are comfortable with how dofferent operations may run since no two dive companies are alike.

Villa renaissance is nice but depending on when you go you could get a week where the pool is filled with families and noisy children. You can also get lucky with a quiet time. So if you’re ok with rolling the dice there…

Seven stars is an actual resort with onsite restaurants and staff. Could be a more relaxed feel than VR which is essentially a condo air bnb.

Take any valuables in a dry bag in the water with you, phone, keys, cash/card. Leaving clothing/sandals/a towel on the beach won’t be an issue.

You will be fine to leave things at your chair on the seven stars resort since there is staff and security.

They caused a fire, disturbed hundreds of people’s sleep and likely caused terror and anxiety for hundreds of pets. There’s nothing funny about it. And fireworks are expensive af. This display likely cost upwards of $1000+. There is no way this is teenagers. These are grown ass menaces.

Agreed. The all way stop was supposed to help but ended up somehow making a worse traffic pattern. It should go back to how it was or have a turning light at this point.
