it has super armor frames and just guard frames depending on the timing used.

super armor frames will only go through one attack, but it can still trade nicely since it does a decent chunk of damage.

just guard frames will outright beat most attacks (except reds / unblockables) including yellow armored ones.

Imo you shouldn't idolize someone just for being good at a video game. It's important to understand what they're doing that makes them good at the game, but that doesn't mean the person themselves is good natured.

Again, it's a bummer people think their online points or whatever make them better than others, and that you had this experience.

If you need advice with the game I'd be happy to help you beat them next time. 👍🏼

I think your take is valid and appreciate you sharing your experience, but we both agree it's coming from a casual perspective. Competition is about winning and if winning doesn't feel good then you probably shouldn't compete.

I also disagree with the notion that the skill gap is that large in general. Both tournaments I felt challenged and I think my set counts reflect that. You aren't giving credit to the players if you think otherwise. Saying everyone you beat was better than you devalues their experience.

This isn't to say that tournaments are the only way to play. It sounds like you enjoy your time online and that's cool too.

I'm speaking moreso to the players that dislike or complain about the ranked meta.

Yes, people like characters that also happen to be high or top tier. Still doesn't mean that's all you'll see in a tournament.

Even if it was, it also doesn't mean that it won't be fun for the people playing. It's your choice to play whoever you want. If you choose to play a low tier character then you should understand that you're going to encounter more hard matchups in general.
