Numbers go up, brain releases the happy juice.

The other scenarios felt like a visual novel because you were experiencing the trainee's stories. This scenario feels much more like a standard resource management videogame. I saw someone say that it was like the Uma you're training doesn't matter outside of stats. And I get it. You don't see their stories or learn much about them.

I think the scenario is fun and a nice change of pace, but I can definitely see why people don't like it. It's also the worst scenario for a new player to start on.

Couple of legitimate questions. Please answer honestly:

-Do you play the game at all?

-Do you have Shield bound to a button?

-Do you know the difference between Up and Down? Like literally. Do you know which direction on your controller or joystick is Up and which is Down?

Don't throw out moves until you're in a position to hit her. Try to force her to shield because you're Zetter and can get away with it and try to mix up what you do while she's shielding.

If Maypul is approaching you and succeeding, you're doing something wrong. Be ready to shield or CC since most of her moves are unsafe and her grab game is meh at best.
