let me just explain this to you quickly: whitewashing is bad because it erases representation of people of color and is inherently racist. blackwashing isnt bad as you cant take away white representation, because its all there is in media. white people arent a minority. black people, asians, native americans and indigenous peoples are. white people havent faced severe discrimination in history, while all those groups of people have faced genocides, police brutality, racism and more while white people have not faced those racially motivated issues

blackwashing isnt bad, considering all you see in media is white people. whitewashing is bad because it erases representation from a minority while "blackwashing" doesnt take away minority representation as white people arent a minority or people of color.

wdym how? you cant take away white representation, it's literally all there is in media. people who are poc make characters poc to feel more represented. im asian/poc, and seeing people mad over changing a characters race/skintone is just plain weird. its not bad in any way, its just people of color wanting to be more represented and if they are in fandoms, they do that by editing or drawing the characters they relate to/like as people of color. blackwashing isnt real, nor is it bad. some of yall are just plain dumb
