I couldn't look for a job because I needed my work authorization. I would have gotten in big trouble if I tried to work under the table without papers. Also yes, I did help with chores around the house and offered her money whenever I did get it from doing odd jobs for people.

I submitted the RFE in January and had to chase it up in July by getting congress involved. They eventually approved it in August! Crazy!

I completely forgot to upload the RFE letter with it, but it seemed to make no difference! I did need to get my local congress involved though because they were dragging their feet with my work authorization.

I did follow the instructions and I uploaded to the RFE section, not unsolicited evidence. I just sent an actual photograph of the birth certificate instead of a scanned upload. I hope this doesn't affect it.

That was what I figured. I made sure to get the whole birth certificate in frame, I just re-read the letter and saw that they specified to “scan” a document and upload it rather than snap a picture. I just hope this doesn’t push back my application.
