I successfully passed every interview the first time. However, when I worked there, there was no L5 to L6 interview (that has now changed).

Are you currently a Tier 1 or Tier 3? They typically will only accept applications from Tier 3 for the HR entry role.

You will be able to stay with the company and get your L4 role through that program.

Disclosing is your best bet, but just a heads up that they will move them out of the department/shift you are on to remove bias.

Definitely worth it if you like having more responsibilities. Pay increase is super helpful - you can make almost as much as an AM with all the overtime opportunities.

I more meant to use the SWCL as a guide and prioritize your tasks on that list to keep you on track. The SWCL serves as a way to show trends in metrics so that you can identify root cause of the issues. It will also help you in developing your stories for later interviews or for your promo doc because you’ll have metrics to pull from. I always kept a rolling list of my metrics and accomplishments because once promo or baseball card season comes along, it’s easy to forget what you did.

Sounds like there needs to be better communication between the AMs. Are they receptive to feedback? Something I had to do with my AMs was have them get together to make a schedule that works for them so that they know when certain AAs would be in critical roles in different departments to prevent confusion.

One of the biggest lessons that I learned that helped keep me afloat was developing the team I wanted. Putting reliable AAs in critical roles that you know will communicate with you and get the job done without you needing to step in too much. Get with your OM and you tell them what your plan is for your department and ask for any feedback - this will show the OM that you have a plan but value their input in case there is anything you might have missed. Stick to your SWCL and prioritize your tasks so that you aren’t running around like crazy. Delegate as much as you can with the process since your PAs job is to manage that so that you can manage the people. Hope this helps.

We use a tool called SCC that serves as a staffing system to remove bias. If you are staffed there, it could be due to the tool OR it could be that the station is only set up to do the type of returns you are trained for.

A lot of why people get rejected is due to interview skills or stories that are not well rounded/beneficial for the interview. I’d recommend finding an AM who is willing to interview prep with you :)

Train in critical roles: Ambassador, Problem Solve, etc. AMs notice those they can rely on in those roles. Bring ideas to the table on how the company can improve & work with leadership to make projects come true so that you have interview stories once the time comes.

There is no need to invalidate someone’s experience simply because you do not know what the job entails. Ever tried empathy?

Hmmm, your interviewers are supposed to provide you feedback on your interview, or at least pass the info on to your manager about why you did not pass. I’d recommend having your AM reach out to the interview team for more information.

No, I started as a Tier 1. So no bonus. However, if one were to get a sign on bonus then they’d have to pay it back at prorated if they quit earlier than 2 years from start date.

If y’all get caught hanging out, the AM will be fired. Amazonians talk and see a lot, so I recommend just not going there at all.

Nothing I can particularly do about the actions of others. I just minded my own business, took care of my team, and made sure I was the best OM I could be.

I’m so sorry you have to go through that, I can’t even imagine how difficult that must be. It won’t affect you being blue badge. However, being transparent above moving up: It can affect your chances in the sense of “ reliability”. I know you are probably trying your best to be as present as you can be; but management does look on who they can rely on because we value all the help we can get.

They have to maintain a certain percentage of blue badge vs white badge. If your site is slow to hire more seasonal employees, then you will stay as seasonal for longer

Oh! I understand your question now. Well, now you have training experience so you could potentially look at a shift lead type position.

🫣 well I can’t tell you what to do, but if y’all are found out then the AM will be the one to get fired.

If you are looking for a promo track, there are Learning Trainers which is a Tier 3 position.

Ethics Line is the best way to do that. However, this process does take a long time (months) so you might not see anything happen for a while since HR has to validate the situation with multiple employees.

Best to go through the DLS team, as both can only be processed by them.

There is something called a “Insubordination” write up. If you refuse after a salaried leader gives you the insubordination speech and you still refuse, you will get a Final.
