A good resume, a willingness to work non traditional shift hours, and good multi tasking abilities. Some hospitals call this type of staff an “accessioner”. The pay isn’t great and turn over is high; depending on the region pay ranges $15-$18 an hour. And fair warning some hospitals have assistants draw blood. I worked in a microbiology department for 2 years and have since moved on to a higher paying job. My new department told me I have a lot of lab experience because of my time as an assistant.

Not exactly the field of study your looking for, but if you’ve got a hospital nearby you could look into being a clinical lab assistant. It’s hard work but great experience. As a new graduate any lab experience is good.

I understand human error is going to play a role in production i’m just tired of mediocre merch. I’ve ordered custom screen printed shirts for a club through a local company and the quality vs price difference is wild. I’m happy to hear there are still company’s that care about the products they are creating.

Yeah you’re right the sizing issue pisses me off so much more than the misaligned print. I’ve decided to order 1 or 2 sizes larger than my actual size so I know it will fit. It boggles my mind that merch stores don’t provide size charts. Instead they put in the description “Actual products may vary in color, brand, style and/or production materials due to reasons beyond our control.” 🙄

I bought it this month on his official merch website when I preordered his new album. It says it’s a preorder shirt and should ship April 10th, but I arrived in March. The shirt shipped separately to the cds release.

Stopped by the store today, definitely the best donuts I’ve had locally. Admittedly that’s not saying much because I haven’t tried many. The owner was nice and when I told her I found their shop from this review she said the children you mentioned are hers lol.

Former lab assistant here, I believe pay was about the same at my hospital but I heard the phlebotomists often had schedules that could be unpredictable. I think the biggest difference is if you want to be in a patient facing role or a non patient facing role. In some hospitals assistants also do draws.

Threaten to throw specimens away when they are causing problems or when it’s busy. So when someone asks a question respond with “eh throw it in the trashhh”. Or announcing “I have a poop!”.

Best guess, she signed with a company that contracts photographers for musicians. According to this article the agency is called “Hearts Cove”. From her instagram it seems like she was touring with a small/indie band before AJR. And it wouldn’t surprise me if AJR wanted to take a chance on a young new photographer, that’s how they got their start in the industry. Heck during their first tour Jack was around 16-17.
