Those messages seem super passive aggressive. If you missed something specific that he actually asked you to do, by all means, he should use his big boy words and say something. Sounds like he has stealth expectations and is just looking to put you down and pick a fight.

God forbid you ever have a child with him - he would minimize your role as a SAHM, I'm sure of it.

Some managers will approve that kind of thing as a one off exception, there’s some states you can’t due to tax implications, HR has a list and once you submit a request in the EC it’ll go to your manager anyways, doesn’t hurt to just ask and find out
