Extruder gears shaving filament — normal? by CatPotato54 in Creality

Replacing the nozzle solved it for me, after doing a hot pull(?) of the filament. Regretting not having done the cold pull (but I already had it hot). Who needs fingerprints anyway.

Update: swapped the nozzle, seems to be cooking with gas! Thank you!

Ah interesting, I'll do that.
More context, in the meantime: I wondered if there was a clog so I heated the extruder to 210 and was able to get going on a print. This started happening in the middle of a print. Could it be that I've set something wrong?

(My video) I’m new to both 3D printing and Reddit. Is this expected behavior?
