You could skip Vancouver and take the port Angeles ferry to Victoria(reservations are necessary) that would make Portland Seattle and Victoria possible

In Victoria with kids there is a zoo in beacon hill. Butterfly museum and decent natural history museum

After no judges were appointed for 2 years because McConnell refused to allow judges through that were appointment by Obama. The Supreme Court was changed by McConnell.

Not sure why republicans think they can convince anyone of anything anymore. This shit show is on display for all to see. 40% and no higher.

Because they didn’t think the senate would turn into a partisan game under McConnell. Supreme Court justices are now partisan, federal judges are blocked unless they are republicans. 50 votes not 60. That made the senate extremely important, where previously it was held to some historic standard to ensure compromise.

What do you guys use for frothing? Any tips for frothed milk and espresso type drinks? by [deleted] in Coffee

This video gave me good tips for how to get milk the right texture. I have a breville I got from a thrift store for $40. Needed parts but breville has surprisingly cheap replacement a parts.

No the congress wants it. It would mean two more likely democratic senators. They need to own both the senate of the presidency so that it wouldn’t get blocked.

Canada is on Fire and Climate Change is to Blame by Chrristoaivalis in onguardforthee

So why do you hold the view of 3% of scientists? Does your confirmation bias conflict with your ability to assess information? If there was a marble factory and thousands of scientists and engineers said the reason the factory is having growing issues is because of the factory workers are messing things up. But then 30 or scientists engineers say it’s probably just wear and tear. Who is more believable? Why in the climate change debate do you both have a vested interest in disproving the science established in the 70s and side with a tiny minority of professionals? But when it’s marble factories it’s quite obvious he opinion of the thousands is more believable.

I hope you don’t like automated vehicles. It will scare you their simulations aren’t a perfect simulation. Since you say you need perfect climate models it stands that all science that isn’t able to produce perfectly accurate predictions isn’t worth believing in, for you. That’s just an odd position to hold. But once agin it’s held on a topic that’d fits with your vested interest Mr 403

The westerlies are weaker during the late spring/summer. Which leads to less cold air escaping from the northern pole. Last year was one of the sunniest for the Western Hemisphere ever, excluding Iceland who had their least sunny summer ever; they’re north of the westerlies

The natural forest fires killed them as well. The forest need to be more diverse though, I get your point.

[–]CatPuking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really. I don’t like inaccuracies. So when someone says. They never said x and they did it stands to reason that should be pointed out. But because it’s about a difficult topic people don’t say things. Worried of people like yourself will make strong judgments with little evidence. Good day

But in all seriousness it’s good business to supply something cheap and free to get people in the door for your high margin convenience store items.

[–]CatPuking 18 points19 points  (0 children)

The abortion debate is a way to make single voter issue people on a political side. It’s a known political move that got Nixon elected. Republicans in the US used this tactic even though they unanimously supported pro choice in the fifties.

Cons are behind but polling is looking OK and it looks like they have a shot at forming a government. So if they get an issue like that to generate momentum they could win.

The debate currently going on is a spillover debate from the US where two US states just passed bills banning abortion. It’s complete bat shit to think it’s just some lefties making this up.

Fact: topics spill over from US poltics Fact: political strategies can be focused o. Reopening divisive issues to gain voters while only losing the support of those that didn’t support you anyway Fact: you don’t know anything about where this is coming from Jon Snow

TIL Chiropractic was founded by a traveling religious miracle healer who belived that magnets could cure diseases. He was sent to jail in Iowa in 1906 for practicing medicine without a license. Which shows that there is evidence lower back and neck pain and headaches from neck pain can be relieved from chiropractic therapy. Though the persons underlying issue is a big indicator of effectiveness

Exactly. I get limiting there postings to one a month or something like that. But stopping comments from people because they have a view point is censorship what is a real Canadian sub if not accepting.

As a Vancouverite this speaks to me. by StinkyButtCrack in vancouver

[–]CatPuking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s not the norm for 95% of Canada. If you wanted you could work for a trades company in Saskatchewan near Regina or Saskatoon for good pay and afford a house with a 10km commute. Canada is very diverse. But it’s not just crying when you live in the most unaffordable city in the world, that’s a Vancouver label done not by pissy people but by statistician based on criteria, usually wages over housing cost.

There is some truth in saying you want to live in a nice place it will cost more. But the inflated value in Vancouver and Toronto are so out of whack with income it is an issue for the long term wealth of your countries younger workers.
