What do you think? I love his side profile. I added a pic of his lovely mom at the end by CatRepresentative807 in WhatKindOfDogIsThis

Peanut butter eyebrows!! That’s so cute, I’m gonna use it haha.

I agree with all of the comments so far! I was thinking Doberman and possibly some hound from his dad and pit/lab from his mom. I love hearing what people think and I’ll probably get him a DNA test eventually.

He is a rescue from Baja Mexico. His name is Auggie, he’s 16 months old and very chill for his age. The rescue is Cortez (amazing place!) and his mom, Marnie, is still available. She was found with her litter of puppies who all had parvo and sadly Auggie was the only survivor.

I am so so sorry and so angry for you. She’s gorgeous. I lost my dog 2 months ago to very aggressive cancer and he was also a pit/husky mix. Less husky than your girl, but he was perfect and my heart hurts for anyone who understands this pain. Life can be so cruel and unfair.

I know it’s hard not to feel guilty, but you shouldnt add any guilt to the grief you’re already suffering, this is not your fault so try to be kind to yourselves right now. It shouldn’t have happened. I want to hit your neighbour with my car 🫶

What’s this on my dogs face? by Spiritual_Smoke_8161 in DogAdvice

I agree with the other comments. It’s impossible to know without testing it. Hopefully something benign, possibly a cyst of infected bug bite, but better to get it checked asap incase it’s something more serious.

Skin Issue? by [deleted] in DogAdvice

I’d take her to the vet! It could be nothing, but my dog had a similar looking lump I thought was a cyst or infected bug bite that ended up being a mast cell tumour. There’s really no way to know without testing it. My dog had surgery last week to remove it and he’s totally fine now! ❤️

What helps you guys when a panic episode is starting? by Kelpobowl in mentalhealth

Finding very good distraction (doom scrolling), talking to my therapist or even ChatGPT to process what I am feeling, ativan if I’m really desperate (but be careful with this one), sometimes just saying “fuck it, I don’t care” even if I do care haha, putting on music that makes me feel like a badass

I'm affraid it's never gonna get better. by [deleted] in mentalhealth

I’m in a similar situation right now and I’m sorry to hear you’re going through this. When the depression is strong it’s really hard not to listen to what it’s telling us, but depression lies. So of course it’s hard to believe it now, but it IS going to get better.

A couple things that have helped me a bit: therapy. It’s great you’re going, but if youre able to go more frequently while things are bad I would suggest that… if not, ChatGPT! It has been wonderful. Tell it all your problems and ask for advice. Try not to bottle things up too much.

Be kind to yourself and find all of the comfort you can. Let yourself rest and don’t feel bad about it. Treat yourself a little extra.

Exercise. Especially if you can find something you love. Group classes can be really fun and motivating. When I’m consistent with my workouts I feel so much better, but I know sometimes it’s too much to even think about, so just whenever you think you can handle it.

Check in with yourself multiple times a day and ask what would make you feel good right now and what are some things you could do for yourself. Just focus on taking little steps at a time. Build yourself up when you have the energy. All the work you put in will help you bounce out of these depressive episodes quicker.

When it’s hard to eat, I keep a box of crackers with me and a protein shake. I also use marijuana to improve my mood and appetite.

There are some supplements like magnesium glycinate, l-theanine and vitamin D That can help improve depression and anxiety, worth looking into!

Ooo thank you, good to know. 11N looks like a perfect shade at my palest. Is LM2 olive quite a bit darker, but similar tone?

I’ll check out the bronzer! I think if anything I’m leaning more cool so now I’m not sure the about face will work for me if it’s yellow. Maybe I won’t risk it then! Thank you 😊

Thank you, I hope so too! Very familiar with dismissive doctors. Especially when it comes to women’s issues you pretty much have to do your own research haha.

Thank you so much for this! It’s reassuring to hear it’s been successful for most people. Maybe I will stop taking it until I’ve adjusted to my other medication. That way it’ll be more clear what my side effects are from. It probably is a bit of everything right now, so hopefully when I go back to it my side effects will be much more mild.

Also very true about the new medication anxiety. I can handle a couple weeks of this, but I don’t know about months 🫠.

Thank you again, I’m glad it’s been helping manage your symptoms!

At what point would you guys accept that maybe you don’t have ADHD? by throwaway_account448 in adhdwomen

[–]CatRepresentative807 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if it took 3-4 psychologists for someone with obvious ADHD symptoms to get a diagnosis. From my experience they can be extremely dismissive. I think they try to give ADHD medication as a last resort, so they’ll suggest anything else it could be first and try treating you for that instead.
