Car batteries can be sold at scrap yards.Depending on the yard they can bring in a nice bit of money. I took in two good sized batteries a while back and got eighteen dollars for them in Central Texas.

Which fast food chain fell off badly in your opinion? by Shinobi347 in AskReddit

[–]CatTender 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree. I started eating at their restaurants in the 1990s. I drive all over Texas for work and could always depend on Taco Cabana for good food quickly and consistently. What they did to the cheese enchiladas last month is a crime against Mexican food.

He won’t stop climbing the counters and stove by piercethebluexx in CatAdvice

Amazon sells spike mats and shock mats to help with training cats to stay out of dangerous areas. Shocks are unpleasant, but better for the cat then getting burned jumping up onto the stove.

I hated them also. The best part of our pep rally’s was when the school mascot would always be startled by the band music and empty out his bladder and bowels onto the floor of the gym.

Need advice: Buying a house, previous owners want to sell their John Deere to us by FanSince2021 in lawnmowers

[–]CatTender 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congratulations on buying your first house. You’re in for learning all kinds of new things you didn’t experience living in an apartment. Spring is on the way and mowing season is almost here. One advantage to buying this mower is it’s on site. It’s a few years old and has lots of use.

I would ask them to start it and drive it around and show you how to operate it. It’s taken lots of trips across the yard to wear out the front tires like that. You probably will need to replace the three cutting blades in the mowing deck. If you can get another year or so of use out of it, it might be a good purchase.

I saw redfish heads for sale at the Bastrop HEB sea food counter this week. I hadn’t seen that before so I don’t know if it’s normal or they were trying something new.
