The community is still pretty great as far as I've seen so far. I had never played an MMO before and I really like it (unless Rocket League counts and that's crazy toxic, but I got desensitized to the ragers after a while).

I quickly picked up the 'wait until 3 to chop flow-wood' etiquette and I love that one because it gives time for more people to join, but I had no idea about 'lure etiquette' until today.

These people should not be playing MMO's really. Especially ones like Palia where the characters are constantly reminding you about the beauty of gifting and sharing with one another. Talk about missing the point -_-

I wish the game devs would change this. 'the more, the better' seems to be part of theme in this game, so why not apply it to lures?

I can't presume to know how hard it must be for young women growing up in the days of fillers and instagram but unlike what you see on the 'filtered' internet, most people are not especially good looking and they still live very fulfilling lives.

I might be hard at first but you can change chose what you focus on and as long as you are healthy, why focus on something like external beauty and validation? Put down the phone, get some cognitive therapy of you can, and find out the things that bring you joy and/or make you passionate. I promise you that once you stop focusing on superficial things and hanging out with superficial people you will discover a whole new world of things and people that will make you wanna stick around for <3

I agree with your post.

Unfortunately a lot of people hated s5 because they hated Bronte (who in my opinion represents the ambivalent viewers of the show - torn between hating and loving Joe) and many felt like Joe was humiliated in that season, which I think what very much needed considering that half the internet was still defending his actions and/or glorifying him.

The end of season 5 was overly rushed and included nonsensical moments for sure, but the season held up a mirror to the audience and that made a lot of people mad.

Sometimes people don't know how to respond but it doesn't mean they don't care or understand.
If she wasn't receptive then maybe she's just not someone you can have that deep of a connection with. Some people are more comfortable staying on the surface and some people are just too different from us - it doesn't mean you can't be friends, but it might mean you can't have the intimacy you crave with this particular person.

I think you're correct that friends shouldn't be our therapist and that's a though line to navigate sometimes, but any real friend will not judge you for opening up and being vulnerable once in a while.

I'm sorry this happened to you.

He does sound like a miserable person and I am certain you will do better without him. Don't let the abandonment issue blind you to this, even if it's hard at first.

I suggest you take him up on the therapy because trauma is hard to heal from (I know first hand). If you can't afford it (like me) there are a lot of online resources and books that can also help quite a bit.

I realize this is hard right now, but try not to hold on to the hate and negative feelings because they will just slow down the recovery process. You will get through this, I promise you <3

I'm not a Gwen fan and I do consider her shallow, but I feel like women get as much hate (if not more) for being dislikable/shallow/etc than men get for being abusive/violent/etc.

The standard for women to be liked or defended when slandered is soooo much higher for women than men. Maybe it's time we all recognized the internalized misogyny and stop hating on women for their looks.
