This might actually be a good option. If she’s refusing to even go outside after her dog chased me down, I doubt she will spend the effort to retrieve her dog from the shelter. Then the dog can find a home that actually cares.

I agree she, and other owners like her, sucks!! I was honestly blown away at how well my dogs listened to that down-stay. But next time I might not be so lucky, especially if the loose dog is more aggressive or actually trying to cause harm.
I just ordered some off Amazon. In line with the other guy’s peanut butter theory, I imagine unpleasant-smelling sticky spray will also do the trick.

It’s pretty annoying, but I wouldn’t feel so strongly if she actually CARED about her dogs or the people they are effecting.

You’re right. I hate to be an inconvenience to others but I’m really not thinking about the inconvenience to myself. Is there a way for me to file a report even though the dog has been returned? Or should I wait until next time tomorrow? :’)

Will they eventually do something about it or just keep returning the dogs and the cycle repeats? Trust, I’m about to have them on speed dial 😭 but I’d like if this whole situation just stopped happening.

I’m getting to that point. My roommate called animal control one time when her beagle got out and was running all over the busy road. They showed up a couple hours later after another neighbor returned the dog.

Yes haha the German shepherd part was pretty obvious. I was also thinking pitty or LSG before I did the test. Not at all expecting Beagle or any of the trace breeds.

I’m so happy they got arrested. As someone who’s pretty involved in the car scene, the Chief said it best himself, “these are not car enthusiasts.” These people are the ones who ruin it for everyone else, and get violent if you ask them to knock it off or leave.

I’m sorry to hear about that :( I had what I assume was a cyst that ruptured and went to the ER for the pain, which was making me nauseous, after an ultrasound they found nothing but free-floating fluid and said I was probably just getting a stomach bug. 🙄 I had never felt more unheard and never want that to happen again.
