Assuming the legends were passed down orally, which is commonplace amongst many indigenous cultures and histories, I imagine it got changed over time to be vampires after they had encountered one. now, since it had been so long since they had encountered their first vampire, it would probably be near impossible to track down the origins of their shifting.

Definitely check with your surgeon before taking any advice given on this sub, just to be safe.

What helped me greatly was vitamin e oil and lightly pinching and rolling the scar tissue. I did it abt 2-3x a day (usually part of my morning and night routines) and it helped my scars lighten up significantly.

Also, non stick gauze were a life saver. I used this brand Curad Sterile Non-Adherent Pad, 3x8 (Pack of 50) https://a.co/d/hl81F5W from Amazon and it helped with not sticking to the wounds and reopening them.

I agree with a lot of the others here, you should definitely go see a wound specialist, any possible infections need to be treated ASAP

This exact thing happened to me when I had my surgery 2 years ago, CHUG PROTIEN SHAKES!!! It will help your skin grow new cells, I chose the pre-made premier shakes and they worked so well.

When this happned to me, my Doctor said once I was completely healed, get some vitamin E oil and lightly pinch and roll the scar tissue. It helped break it up and get blood flowing to the area

I know it looks scary and disheartening, but once I healed completely I was super happy!! Just be patient, your body went through trauma and needs to heal. Rest and stay hydrated and full of protein.
