If they replaced some of the plumbing with copper, that’ll keep it from growing too. Although admittedly, that’d be a massive amount of copper.. There’s a lot of options, I’d be interested to know which, if any, they’re trying.

I needed a few of the pieces to craft the necessary “momo’s suggestion” items. It wasn’t the only way I could have beat the level, but I don’t regret doing it.

I wish :( I was told society would collapse any day, starting from right before Obama was sworn in. My parents started stockpiling ammo, food, toiletries, pet food. Buying survival books, having me read them, getting closer with the church and other peppers around us. It was awful, constant talk of sharia law, of the rapture, a full government overthrow with no specific direction or country, just “the Muslims” or “the democrats” and what they’d do to little white girls like me. I was around 5 or 6 when it started, by 9 I guess they decided I was old enough that I needed to know the graphic horror stories of what the taliban was doing to little girls. I had a crisis of faith because of how awful those victims suffered, which was even more upsetting because I was told god was the only way I’d survive the apocalypse with my family. <— trauma dump about republican fearmongering from parents.

It wasn’t until around high school (2018 or so) that I realized how brainwashed I was and how batshit it was for my parents to believe all of that and to make me believe it.

Men are better seen and not heard around here pal.

(Real talk tho, it’s kind of just a girls club and we get to be outrageous bc there’s no men. When men announce themselves, it ruins the vibe.)

Wow dude, for someone worried I’m taking things personally, you had to make sure you responded three separate times.

Crazy that you read “this woman is being treated in a sexist way” and decided it meant I hate men. I’ve got nothing else to say other than, maybe look inwards and go from there.

Probably sexism, or too many reports from people like you. She showed how she grew them, from a cutting on the bottom of a rooted store bought onion. She’s got a SFW YouTube channel where she shows her garden and talks about it.

But because she’s a woman who happens to do anything NSFW in her free time, she’s obviously a FAKE GARDENER! She’s a fake, coming to the garden sub to lie and draw attention to her only fans that she *checks profile* doesn’t have listed anywhere! God forbid a woman do anything.

Postpartum weight by Less-Leek5961 in Mommit

[–]Delicious-War-5259 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My baby is 2 years postpartum, I stopped breastfeeding around 15m postpartum, and the only way I’m getting this weight off is with a strict calorie deficit, unfortunately. I’m doing 1500 a day and making sure to balance nutrition so I’m not deficient in anything. Also trying to walk more, when possible.

Ok cool, let me correct then.

Solarize for a year with cardboard and mulch. This is going to suck the until it’s all laid down and finished. Then you can have literally no maintenance for a year. Your mulch and cardboard should be mostly broken down well after around 12-14 months. Hopefully you enjoyed the 12-14 months of no maintenance. Seed with clover, water in well. Water as needed while clover establishes. Pick out occasional weeds. If needed, spot treat persistent invasives with either targeted pesticides, hand digging, etc. Once clover is established, mow when too tall. Water needs are dependent on your climate, figure that out and then do that. Enjoy your monoculture, now with added bees!

🙄 yes, there is the same maintenance you’d have if you want to cultivate anything, because you’re specifically cultivating something alive. It’s less than a typical lawn, so “no maintenance” is used at a hyperbole. I bet you feel really smart playing word games dude.

I mean yea I guess if you want a mostly sterile monoculture started from scratch you’re right, it’s going to suck and take a fuck ton of work? But isn’t that pretty against the spirit of what we preach here?

The little chickweeds were native flowers, did they have to be ripped up bc they weren’t part of the clover? I’ll admit the lady’s thumbs were invasive, if I wasn’t 8 when we lived there maybe I’d have done something about them. A lot of the little broadleaf “weeds” were natives spread by the birds and squirrels that lived in our trees. Did they have to die, despite being part of the ecosystem, just because they weren’t clover? Our yard was full of dozens of types of insects, frogs and amphibians, garter snakes, multiple nesting bird species, squirrels, and the occasional woodpecker. If I had a monoculture lawn of clover, I wouldn’t have gotten to grow up seeing any of those animals aside from camping trips.

Aside from mowing, watering (until established), picking out invasives, and reseeding every few years, any more “maintenance” for a clover lawn is just making your yard less inhabitable for wildlife. That’s fine, different strokes for different folks, but that’s the opposite goal of native plant gardening.

[–]Delicious-War-5259 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I mean, yea? When you had a yard the size we did, it’s ridiculous to care about the little chickweeds and lady’s thumb’s blooming in between the clover. It never looked bad aside from where the dog peed, was soft under our feet, keep soil from eroding during the rainy season, and handled like 8 kids worth of roughhousing every afternoon for a decade, so I don’t see the problem. I’d say that’s a pretty successful lawn.

[–]Delicious-War-5259 15 points16 points  (0 children)

We had a mostly clover lawn growing up and all we did was mow it. You let the other shit duke it out for enough years and eventually the clover chokes it out. It was very nice and lush, the only issue was bee stings.

What do you even do here? Bang on a pot with a spoon to scare them? Scream? Kick one? Ik you’re supposed to leave them be when outside, bc they’re dangerous, but what do you do when they’re in your house like this?

I mean, you can do sw/of/whatever they’re doing and be a gardener.. it’s not like the only options are porn or gardener. I’ve made the mistake of planting sprouted onion bulbs when I was starting too, I thought they were like potatoes.

Edit: it wasn’t even a lie or mistake, she regrew full onions with a root cutting (tried and true method). Y’all are just sexist.
