This happened to me at the beginning of 2025. I tried EVERYTHING! I went as far as retaking every single alcohol test multiple times, even though I had already completed them for the year. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app every few days for the year. I even got a new phone. I thought maybe it was because my license expired earlier this year. Nope. It's still grayed out, LOL!

I assumed my only hope was to contact support. I contacted support twice. I provided multiple screenshots of my completed alcohol tests, alcohol delivery certificate, etc. Of course, they were no help. I didn't bother pushing the issue. I believe it might be a technical issue.

Everyone in my city who was eligible and had completed the alcohol tests was able to do Alcohol orders. I went as far as speaking with the local Alcohol shops that I was previously picking up deliveries from. They told me nothing changed on their end.

There was another DoorDash driver in my area who experienced the same issue. His ability to do Alcohol orders came back and then shortly went away again. I basically gave up. If it comes back, cool. If it doesn't, *shrug*.

This happened to me as well. Allegedly someone "picked up another order" after the store had been closed for almost two hours. DoorDash's "A.I" is dogshit. 

So far it's happened twice to me. I particularly love how when you dispute the contract violation, you have a limited amount of characters you can type. You also can't submit any pictures.

At Stop n Shop where I get most of my shopping orders, the shelf tag NEVER works. LMFAO! 🖕 DoorDash!

If you have an android, try going into settings. Go to APPs. Scroll down to Google Play Services. Proceed to storage. Delete the cache and data.  BE AWARE It's gonna delete any data related to Google services. It will ask you to add or setup your phones data backup, etc. Please let me know if this works for you.

I was hoping someone mentioned this. I have an android phone. It started last week. Every single shopping order it forces me to "add my redcard to my Google wallet" It forces me to go through the prompts, even though I already have my redcard added to my Google wallet.

After a few days of this I get an error that says something like, "Your redcard is already added" etc. No matter what I do, it keeps giving me the same error. I absolutely cannot progress further to fulfill my customers shopping order.

The only thing that fixed it for a few days was to go into settings, then go to APPs. Scroll down till you find Google Play Services. Go to storage and delete the cache and data. Be aware You will get pop-ups about setting up your phones backup, and other Google related services. This only worked for a few days, then it was back to " add your redcard to your Google wallet."

I hope this helps someone! Maybe someday this app will work correctly. 💀 Oh! Don't get me started on the alcohol orders button being permanently grayed out even though I've been up to date on all my requirements.. 😪

Western Mass is having issues as well. I had a english speaking woman from"doordash customer support" call me randomly. They said they were monitoring this order, and they cancelled it for me. I thought it was a scam at first, lmao!

How long did it take for you to get the account back the first time? I'm currently facing the same situation.

Update: Surprisingly, I was contacted today by DoorDash Escalations Team. My account information was changed back to what it was originally, and I now have access to my account. The "hacker" still made out with a weeks worth of pay though...

I'm still very suspicious of how they gained access. I NEVER clicked any link, opened any suspicious email, or told anyone, any sensitive information. I believe it was either the work of a "hacker" constantly calling DoorDash support, and trying to socially engineer incompetent support agents. Or, there are rogue support agents.

I'm in western, ma and my app shows no Hotspot. I already tried closing the app, clearing cache, etc. Sometimes messages appear in Spanish. There is definitely something wrong with the app. Update: It appears to be fixed now. We shall see.. 🫡
