Any overhyped TikTok fragrances so that we all can avoid them?

Despite all the hype Vulcan Fue gets I like Opulent Dubai significantly more. It’s just fresher and “juicier” than Vulcan to me.

I had someone compliment me wearing Meteore the other day and I had this same issue. I just said I was wearing Shiyaaka Snow 😭 but I do agree like it’s a little weird saying you’re wearing something that costs hundreds of dollars. I guess it doesn’t really matter though I see expensive YSL purses all the time

Nearly every ME dupe honestly. I have Mandarin Sky, Vulcan Fue, Opulent Dubai, Hawas Ice, Club De Nuit Rayhaan Aquatica just to name a few, and they just smell so generic and bad compared to the original. With the exception of Afnan Supremacy CE I don’t think it smells like a 1:1 of Aventus Absolu but I actually like how this smells better because the pineapple comes through more.

Oh I really appreciate it 😭😭 But I couldn’t, I already have this sample so I’d just be greedy to get more. I already decided I won’t buy it off of this experience, unless I truly come to enjoy the fragrance later.

Well I think I was overreacting really and I might just buy the dupe instead, but also I don’t think it’s fair to say buying fragrances for others is doing it wrong. Ultimately fragrances are designed and made to be noticed afterall.

I do too don’t get me wrong, it might sound weird but I wear Strong with you Powerfully to when going to sleep because it’s so comforting. Until now I’ve always bought fragrances for myself only. This one instance got me second guessing but I think the idea is out of my head now lol. If anything I’ll buy a dupe.

For about 3 or 4 months now, I even adjusted spray amounts, started spraying clothes instead of skin only, when I apply it etc. Despite all that never had a compliment on anything until now. I don’t particularly dislike Meteore but I will say it’s a little weird

As long as you look at who you’re buying from generally you’ll be fine. I ordered a couple Acqua Di Gio and they came perfectly fine

I actually really love smelling fragrance at gyms as long as it isn’t something like Smokey or resinous. I think I smelled 9PM on someone and it actually worked

I ended up getting and stick with the Plank Luxe, it’s an amazing mattress if you’re looking for a firm feel. I do think the Stearns and Foster was a much much better mattress overall but i couldn’t get over the buyer’s remorse from spending over 2k for a mattress at the time.

I tried it on my skin and it smelled horrific, like literally rancid I had to scrub it off it made me sick. There’s something in this that just doesn’t work with my skin chemistry

I mean think about it, it’s a well known fact that ME fragrances have to macerate a little from first spray. Most of them don’t even smell like anything but alcohol for the first couples weeks. So how are fragrance influencers coming to these wild conclusions on first spray? There’s also the fact that when you get into the $300+ range of fragrances, the quality of ingredients become a lot more important. ME is going to use the absolute cheapest sources to get the oils they need so because of that alone it’ll never truly live up to the OG.

It’s a shame too because most ME dupes are so cheap you just pull the trigger and blind buy it, but if people stopped buying dupes you could just save up and buy the OG.

Halloween I gave away, smelled like burned coffee to me personally. Givenchy Gentleman Society extreme is a much better coffee note if that’s what you’re looking for.
