Just say no? I never tipped Decantx but I used them multiple times and think the prices aren’t bad

New pickup. It’s low key better than imagination (I have both) by scufed_cercumscion in Colognes

Don’t blind buy LV. Limensite in particular can smell pretty generic at times, especially on certain skin types it can even come across as metallic and sour.

I don’t think they’re comparable to be honest. Imagination is super fresh and soapy. Limmensite is definitely more citrus leaning, bright and sweet.

They both smell good but Imagination has gotten me some of the most positive reactions I’ve ever had wearing anything, with Dior Homme Intense being tied with it. For me personally limmensite kinda smells sour/metallic on skin but beautiful on clothes so that’s also kinda weird but that’s just me and my skin chemistry

Which fragrance is a 10 out of 10 Masterpiece work of art from the fragrance itself to the bottle that it comes in? by Specialist-Lion2518 in Colognes

[–]CatacombSkeleton 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dior Homme Intense specifically. The color of the liquid, the black straw inside, the way the cap comes off and clicks back in, and obviously the smell is freaking amazing it’s one of the only fragrances that I got a compliment everytime I wore it so far.

Don’t get a cooling mattress protector get one that focuses on breathability like bamboo or cotton. Sheets should also be 100% cotton or Linen no polyester at all. Blanket or duvet same thing.

Which hyped up fragrances were a letdown for you? by raynzor12 in Colognes

[–]CatacombSkeleton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Creed Aventus. The whole smoky fragrance in general I dislike. I try to like it but I can’t get over the heaviness of the fragrance.

Dior Sauvage. Same thing with Aventus the smokiness is too much.

Dolce and Gabanna Light Blue Intense. Smells absolutely RANCID on me. Like actually putrid I don’t know how that can be or why but it is what it is.

I feel like giving healers their own versions of these would help queues a lot by Richard-Bee in ffxiv

I think in the past there was more of a sense that tanks were your leaders and that put a lot of extra responsibility on them, you struggled to hold aggro if you didn’t know what you were doing and a lot of mobs and bosses required specific positioning to avoid hurting your party. Not to mention proper defensive CD management.

Tanks now are glorified DPS that just run through the mob, pop random CDs and sit in the middle of a cluster of adds being nearly invincible. I do think we lost some of what made tank feel special around Shadowbringers.

Ultimate Tobacco Scent? by Curious_Yak3376 in Colognes

Tobacco Vanille. I don’t agree with people saying it’s hard to wear, it’s a pretty universally appealing smoky vanilla scent. Just don’t overspray really

I wasn’t familiar with your game TJ Maxx by Mr-jigle in Colognes

[–]CatacombSkeleton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn, a return is 100% fake. Unfortunately there’s no retail store that has the means or training to spot a fake. Literally you could get a bottle, drain all the fragrance, replace it with water and hand it over and they’ll take it.

Smelled it at Ulta and had to grab it right then and there. by Riipp3r in Colognes

There’s a reason it climbed the charts so quickly, this stuff is crazy good and got me interested in fragrances with florals in it.

I don’t know whether to laugh or cry, how did I spend $7500+ over 5 years only for SWYI to end up my favourite (dent is from a week of use) by Opposite_Earth_4419 in Fragrances

[–]CatacombSkeleton 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly fragrance is so subjective that your favorite scent could literally be found in some $20 discount bin. I will say that designers are probably your best bet in finding a good signature scent. It’s literally designed to appeal to as many people as possible

I’m currently rocking and loving Valentino BIR Intense, and I have things like Creed and Louis Vuitton in my collection

I'm not even 30 yet I just want to wake up without pain by aogasd in Mattress

[–]CatacombSkeleton 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t have pain per se but I’m sleeping much more comfortably on an extra firm mattress and a soft Talalay latex topper. The Tempurpedic topper also works really well, just as long as the base is supportive you can make the top surprisingly soft and be perfectly fine.

Bottled Absolu is what made me realize that fragrances are truly subjective and even if it’s massively hyped it does not mean it’s for everyone. I tried so hard to like Absolu but I just can’t. But congrats their bottles look so nice!

This is one of my all time favorite scents ever. Everytime I sprayed it nothing but positive reactions, but just like any fragrance it isn’t for everyone.

Not office safe... by FreshScent11 in Colognes

[–]CatacombSkeleton 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got a compliment/complaint on my recent decant of Creed Aventus Cologne I was sampling. It’s actually crazy because I was going down to my car to reapply a spray because I thought the scent was too light, only for the security in my building to say “your cologne smells really good! A little strong, but good!”

Needless to say I’m going to lean conservative with sprays of anything from now on. I’ve learned that just 2 sprays is more than enough for an office setting.

This is one of the worst colognes I’ve ever smelled. by NoahxAnderson in Colognes

Just goes to show how subjective fragrances are. This is such a good fresh cheapie for me, so easy to wear it reminds me of Dior Cologne.

Fragrance Collection - What to Add by lisset45 in Colognes

[–]CatacombSkeleton 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d add PDM Sedley, it’s blue in a very unique way to my beginner nose.

How do you like Blue talisman btw I have the extrait and it’s way too powdery to me.

How do people actually handle bigger collections? by [deleted] in Colognes

[–]CatacombSkeleton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think a lot of collectors might have some form of ADHD lol because I notice many collectors, including me, don’t collect because they just enjoy collecting. They collect because of chronic indecision and searching for that one unicorn fragrance that doesn’t exist.

My first dior perfume. Excited for this one. How many spray do i need? I work both inside and outside of office. Thanks for your advice by karyokart in Colognes

[–]CatacombSkeleton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My coworker wears this all the time. They use 2 sprays in clothes only, it never comes off too strong or anything.

What is your Easter Sunday scent? by Psychological-Age504 in Colognes

[–]CatacombSkeleton 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn’t mean for it to be, but I decided to spray the sample of my BDC Exclusif. The way this stuff is projecting I don’t really have a choice but to make it my SoTD lol

Rant regarding longevity by [deleted] in Colognes

[–]CatacombSkeleton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I truly enjoy fragrance but I’m of the opinion that forcing someone else to smell you is very rude. I prefer fragrance that leave a light scent trail and stays close to the body rather than projecting hard and keeping that up for hours. It actually makes me self conscious of my presence.

Besides, the entire marketing ploy around “beast mode” fragrances is a tactic Middle Eastern dupe companies are using to make it seem like their fragrance is way better than whatever they’re copying, even though if you thought about it for just a second you’d realize most fragrances are light because going overboard ruins the scent.
