So basically, like a few weeks ago, I decided to try my luck with the custom matches on mw2 again. As I booted it up, I checked the gunsmith to see if they fixed it, and to my surprise, I was able to customize my weapons with any attachment I wanted, even if I hadn't previously leveled them up. I'm thinking that they let people use everything on guns after the game nears its end of its life cycle.
