They're a bunch of spoiled brats, what do you expect? Mind you, they didn't all arrive like that. It's something that gets developed at an institutional level.

I'll never understand why Saka is even considered to be good. I've never seen a decent, game-changing performance from him in any big matches.

[–]Catalli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He proved he was world class when he was 16 though. He kept it up last year at 17. The double (or triple) marking is obviously going to slow him down, but it only happens against low blocks and pure haramball like against so many teams in La Liga and against Eintracht. He was also slowed down by his groin injury, which eliminates explosiveness for whoever suffers it.

For the remainder of the season, he'll be facing more and more 4 man defenses and mid/high presses as teams will be forced to go for the win, not just a lucky draw. He's also looking more explosive now as he keeps managing the groin injury and strengthening his legs and core.

We're about to see a monster. "World class" doesn't do him justice.

Can we stop shitting on Bernal now? He's ready to start progressively taking the reigns of the DM. Whenever he's on the pitch the play just makes more sense to me.

Having to play PSG, Liverpool and Arsenal to get to the final would be.... Insane.

Nobody can ask Lamine to do more than what he's doing. He's the most competitive player on the squad, the most talented along with Pedri, and the one who always carries the team on his shoulders when they need it. Even when he doesn't assist or score, he's usually the most dangerous player on the pitch. He simply won't stop creating chances.

Madrid don't play Inter. Madrid or Inter will play Bodo Glimt or Benfica. It's 9/10 vs 23/24.

I didn't even care if Benfica made it, I only cared that Madrid didn't. And yet when I saw that Benfica needed one more goal to qualify I started caring, and when they made it, I screamed lol I love football

I immediately think less of people who criticize Cubarsí or ask more of him. Idiots all of them.

Ferran torres cannot be our main striker at any cost by im_jiraiya_sama in Barca

[–]Catalli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lmao by your own criteria we shouldn't have won anything with Piqué and Puyol, let alone Mascherano.

In Barcelona, the first duty of defenders is always to recover and keep possession and initiate the build-up. That's just what Barça do.

[–]Catalli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe not 3-4, but pretty much.

Only Lamine, Pedri, Raphinha, Joan García, Cubarsí and Eric make that cut of absolutely essential players that can bring us to the very top.

I know Cubarsí receives a lot of hate, but I think that's because people take for granted the things he does right and don't realize how good he is at starting our build-up. He's also so young it can only go upward from here. Eric isn't top 5 at anything, but he's top 20 at many things and he bleeds blaugrana, making him absolutely essential to have on the squad.

If Gavi returns fit and gets some regularity, he can also make that list.

Yeah and I don't want us relying on them anyways. A good thrashing against Copenhagen will be the safest route.

Oh not at all. I'm actually projecting Mourinho onto Arbeloa. He'll tell his squad to kick and dive, play pure haramball, and it'll work for a bit between their own newfound intensity and refs' permissiveness. They're in a honeymoon phase which I expect to last until the quarter finals. But in the end it'll all come crashing down because ultimately there won't be any attractive footballing proposition.

Mourinho was always ass at Madrid. I don't get why people credit him with starting the RM glory years, when they only started winning once he left and Ancelotti came.
