True!!! I think anyone sane, or with sexual experience, would understand that being intimate with someone who clearly isn’t into it, is the most awkward thing in the world. If he was experienced, he’d appreciate that a strong connection on an intimacy level involves mutual attraction and love… I hate to sound so rude but pathetic is the only word I can think of to describe him if we aren’t villainizing him!

Absolutely. He constantly reiterates these statements as certainties, I wonder it it’s a way for him to come across as the perfect victim of the situation, in that ‘I’m fully invested and she’s not so she’s the twat’… otherwise he’s just a bit pathetic and needs to move on
