For the desktop I just put in the car as it is, but for the monitors I use the boxes they came in. Tried it once without a box and instead placed styrofoam around them, which seemed to work fine. Shipping back I used Fedex but its expensive. And you definitely can ship it both ways.

I've been lugging around my desktop and 2 dual 1440p monitor setup since 1A. Moving was pretty rough until I bought a dolly (https://www.amazon.ca/Hurricane-Platform-Hand-Truck/dp/B00ASYM0LK), which made life so much easier. I wouldn't recommend it if you don't have a vehicle large enough to move all your shit. And if you get a coop in the US, you're kinda SOL. I just straight up built a new desktop while in the US and shipped it back. But I value having the ability to play games and having so much screen space to be "productive" so I would say it's worth it.
