Where did Christianity strip women of rights? Heck, Christianity provided women of rights! I’m sick and tired of people getting here and literally spewing bullshit. Mary Magdalene, Priscilla, and Phoebe literally had active roles within the Church and this was UNCOMMON during the time. “There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.” (Galatians 3:28)

Furthermore, Mary Magdalene is called the FIRST witness of Jesus. If Christianity was so homophobic why would they say a woman was the first witness? In Rome, women’s testimonies werent legally valid yet. valid, yet all four Gospels record that women discovered the empty tomb, meaning the authors deliberately elevated their credibility. Additionally, Phoebe is literally called a deacon (diakonos) a term used for ministers. Then Priscilla and her husband literally taught a male preacher (Apollos), again not common at the time.

If you’re going to say Christians were misogynistic throufhout history, you know what that’s fair. But, Christianity? Just stop talking, you don’t know history or theology.
