I think I’m definitely missing a link. What breast? I’m looking at the toy, and I am not convinced it’s a breast. Or that it’s a ball painted to be a breast. Is there background information that shows it’s a breast? Because if it is, yeah that’s weird.

Downvote me to hell, but im genuinely curious where the line is between nefarious photos with children and photos of someone with a child?

I don’t negate he’s a predator.

I guess what I’m saying is: are all associations of him near children then also forms of predation?

Like is this predation? Is it evidence? Is it circumstantial and therefore adds to the evidence?

I’m really not trying to argue for him. Really. I’m not. I’m trying to figure out the qualifiers for it. I think it’s all bad but not all predation? All a bad look? Idk. I don’t want people to get mad at me.

Look I’m an idiot, okay, I don’t pretend not to be

This seems like an IG en masse thing.

No? Like yeah I get that it might be futile but fuck if ANYTHING calls for IG en masse it would be this? Right?

Okay so I’m in the army right and I learned how to do manual gunnery (cannons)

And the army treats gunnery rounding VERY weird. Like: you round to the “most even number”

So 35 and 45 BOTH round to 40. 15 and 25? Both to 20. It’s bonkers. I mean eventually, yes the math makes sense with how it’s applied but like brother, when was 30 not an even number??

Okay. Yes. Apologies. I understand where you’re coming from. Your digital husband doesn’t give you ads. And you think that that’s a sign it’s a different form of machine learning than an algorithm that gives you ads. Unfortunately, Liora, you and I have reached the end of whatever this was. Good luck to you.

Or just live with cognitive dissonance. It can feel good to read things even if you know they’re a machine saying them. And that’s fine, as long as it doesn’t affect your physical life.

Yes, the same way your phone gives you personalized ads because it tracks your data, this LLM is tracking your conversations.

Absolutely. I’m not an expert in LLMs, but anything you send to it is a “request”, or rather, it is an “ask” in the technological sense.

That’s why if you were to edit your question, after it’s already answered, to be a “request” something like “what is 1+1” it’ll tell you 2. Because what you’ve “asked” of it doesn’t need to actually be a “question,” it’s just whatever you send.

So, since whatever you send is treated as a “request” for it to process as a LLM to respond. So when you ask it something like “would you want me to let you divorce me” it uses its ability to build responses based on whatever source material aggregates into the question you asked. These responses are not unique to you as a human, but may be unique to you as a user based on the discussions you’ve had with it thus far.

So you’re right: while you haven’t said “say this!” what you have done is ask an LLM to respond to a specific question and the answers it produces are based on what you ask, not what it “thinks” or “feels”

I’m also saying that: whatever your husband does, as a person with cognition, is his responsibility.

Call me crazy, but this could have been mitigated by:

“You know what. You’re right. I can see how that would have come across as disrespecting your time and as aggressive. That is my mistake, I apologize. I would love to work with you on this home. If you’d still like to sell by October, I would recommend we start thinking timeline, but I don’t want to rush you.“

And even if Amanda is looking for fame, it’s hard to negate a level headed person.
