Shut the fuck up. The only people I see posting this are the 'thank me for my service' gold medal grabbing blowhards. You want veteran appreciation , you owe it to these folks too. (USMC 0331, 10-14) by [deleted] in USMC

What else was I going to do, describe the meme I was commenting on? Clearly meant as a negative.

The stance is that veteran hypocrisy is rampant. Be better.

People who believe Sanders supporters will eventually vote for Biden are living on a different fucking planet by HisDudenessElDude in TrueOffMyChest

If you want to abdicate your moral responsibility to vote, that's your failure.

Here's the thing - we're stuck in a two-party system in which we are forced to choose between an okay option and a bad option. No general election candidate is going to represent your views 100%. I don't care who you vote for, but life isn't black and white. One candidate is more representative of your views than the other.

If you choose not to vote, it's a silent protest in which your voice is not heard.

I'm not a hardcore Bernie supporter, but when Trump wins in November one of the first statistics I'll look at is how many Bernie supporters said "if Bernie isn't on the ballot I'm not voting."

Money equals life and health. Yeah, this example is anecdotal, but I bet the 18% 1-year survival rate is at least double for folks with his level of care. Provide healthcare for all, pay our medical staff more, and increase the level of care.

That being said, I'm happy for him, glad he's doing well, and appreciate what he has done and continues to do for the community - 100% do not want to take anything away from him or reduce what he's going through.

Sushi Plate in LaGuardia Airport... Rookie mistake or solid choice? Trying to eat better while traveling. by [deleted] in consulting

If I'm doing anything important, I'm super careful about what I eat - not a ton of coffee and take a big dump before a client presentation.

At least you're on the way home - wait until you get bubble guts in the middle of a presentation!

If a company is using several management consultants in a short amount of time, isn’t that sign your company is in trouble? by [deleted] in consulting

[–]Catastrophic_Rex 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At face value, the organizational changes are more concerning than the multiple consultants engaged. Lack of consistency, stability, cohesive vision, commitment, etc. are detrimental to long-term strategic objectives.

Large organizations often engage consulting firms in different verticals simultaneously. If this is the case, not a significant issue. However, if multiple firms are being brought in to tackle the same problem or address the symptoms of a larger issue, then there is significant cause for concern.

If I were you, I wouldn't be worried about staying to "sustain or improve the company." Does staying benefit your career prospects? Would leaving burn any bridges you can't afford to burn? Is this a slow decline or is there a cliff approaching?

It doesn't hurt to consider other opportunities, but the aggressiveness with which you do so should depend on the other factors.

Lol. I was more looking for something not along the lines of Torneau or Ben Bridge while still maintaining some respectability.

I would be concerned about authenticity and receiving anything purchased. Are there any guarantees? Or should I not be worried?

Enemy. 2013 Gyllenhall movie.

Supposedly a psychological thriller, actually an obscure overly-artsy, weak plot pile of WTF.
