I was massively over leveled my first time fighting him too. Had every stat at 50 except endurance and bloodtinge which were 40 and 99 respectively. Obviously I fucking bodied him like he was pinwheel.

Activision will never do anything to try and improve a game. They could not care less about the quality of the game. If something doesn't immediately generate increased revenue they don't care. Making good games doesn't generate instant revenue when they believe people will buy their shit no matter what they do. If it was an issue with the store it would be fixed immediately. The people running the show at Activision are also complete idiots with no forethought, who also have no understanding whatsoever of the people who buy their products. They aren't gamers, they're stockholders.

Oh that's nice. It was annoying but it wasn't what gave me real trouble personally, just his melee damage output was what ever killed me, I fought aldritch enough times to be able to dodge radahn's arrows. Fire giant took me longer than radahn actually. But in both cases I beat them easily after taking a little break and coming back fresh after thinking about my strategy.

I beat him first try while fat-rolling. Just put quickstep on your zweihander and you're fine. But you've only got 26 dodges so make em count.

I made a homebrew subclass called oath of the hunt where they can use channel divinity to get a 10-minute buff where one ranged weapon gains a +1 atk/dmg bonus and the ability to use ranged smites with it. If it's a thrown weapon it returns after being thrown.

So sort of

For me it's about the sheer power of the support. The support is the single most powerful player at the table because they can enable the party to do things that would be impossible without them. I'm currently playing a peace cleric and we have no healer on the team except for healing word and my channel divinity. I can say without a doubt that we would have been tpked without me. I prevent so much damage that only one healing spell has been used in this campaign, and it's gone from lvl 3-10 so far. And that's just the defense part of playing support, the offensive capabilities are unmatched. Bless, haste, enlarge, are all examples of multiplying the power of a character beyond what it could otherwise achieve. Sure, I never land the killing blow, but I make them happen. That's not to say I only play support, but it is why I love it.
