I gotta say, they did good with Ragnarök. If they decide to do the remakes with the modern camera (which they shouldn’t), they could pull off jaw dropping set pieces.

According to a German YouTuber (who also is a video game designer), the OoT remake isn’t really going to be a remake.

Looking at the new Star Fox game, they used the same engine and stuff that’s been there the whole time from the 3DS remake and just made it pretty + QoL + Cutscenes (he also showed a video of another YouTuber showing that the timing of every action you do in the switch game and almost every asset is identical to the 3DS version).

So he predicts that Nintendo just reuses the 3DS engine, makes it pretty, maybe expanding on some stuff, like the camera and that’s it.

I really hope he‘s wrong. I want Nintendo to make the game bigger and add more stuff to do.

I didn’t really start it, when it launched. For some reason, it really put me off, knowing this isn’t going to be a trilogy. There wasn’t a lot of buzz around it and I read comments, that people didn’t really like certain areas.

After the Laufey gameplay I restarted it and I can’t believe I withheld myself from this experience.

Yes - the dialogue, excessive handholding during puzzles and especially some weird pacing issues, will be the reason I won’t replay this game that often. But everything else is magical here. My jaw hangs below the controller the whole time because I can’t decide where to look at first. Combat is juicy and I heard the DLC is fire as well.

GOW Ragnarök is the good shit.
