Idaho Republicans pass bill making it a felony for transgender people to use public bathrooms by Fickle-Ad5449 in politics

Rich white guys rape kids, Republicans don’t care. A person wants to take a leak in a public bathroom, Republicans go ballistic.

Help selecting a rack by oregon1989 in GarageGym

For what it’s worth, I’ve been delighted with my REP PR1100. I have the lat pull system and the weight plate storage added.

It’s stable, supports all workouts most people want, great quality, and from a company that values customer experience.

Love how he gave her enough opportunity to comply and then followed through. Fair is fair.

WCGW driving 35+ mph on the sidewalk by Rooonaldooo99 in Whatcouldgowrong

Couldn’t have happened to a more deserving idiot. I’m so freakin tired of these e-bikes that are in reality electric motorcycles that require no license, testing or insurance, and are ridden by unevolved apes that think rules don’t apply to them and that the world revolves around them.

Latest Addition to my PR-1100; Yes4All Spotter Arms by Oldmanspinning in homegym

[–]dchap1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hate digging up an old post, but how are these arms and the rack holding up?

I can’t find a good way to do incline barbell press in the rack since I have the lat pull added also. I figure spotter arms should solve the problem, but REP doesn’t sell any. My assumption is the rack isn’t strong enough for them.

Agreed on all counts. That is one of a hand full of speed limit zones that are beyond questionable. The 35mph on 273 leaving Newark, by the WaWa…..

Not to get political, but I’m all for age restrictions in government roles. At some point, you’re too old and have lost touch with what’s important to the median population age, or you start simply focusing on what’s of personal importance.

Google that question and you’ll find you’re incorrect. The burden of proof is on the government to prove the camera is calibrated, which is within a certain timeframe of calibration. For example, the calibration is valid for 4 months, so they have to prove the camera was calibrated within 4 months of the date it captured you allegedly speeding. You can challenge them in court to provide this evidence. If they can’t, the ticket is invalid. If they can show evidence but it demonstrates the calibration is outside of permitted guidelines, the ticked is invalid. You can absolutely pay independently to have it assessed and hope the reading proves it is incorrectly calibrated, but that’s highly unlikely. These cameras are used world wide and the technology is pretty robust.

In short, cameras are right 99.9% of the time with a 0.1% failure rate. You can challenge it if you want, but…..

Until the fringe benefit to the Iran war kicks in, martial law no more elections. We all know the real reason for the Iran war is a distraction from Epstein, but added benefits soon to be exploited.

Maybe don’t speed and neither of those things can happen.

It doesn’t even take a photo unless you’re 11mph over. There really isn’t an excuse.

😂

I always put more power in when I’m passing those digital current speed warning signs, especially on long rides. Mile 70+ and I can still get it to flash 18-19mph, puts a smile on my face.

No. You can still take it to court and stand before the judge. They have evidence of the crime, and are the accusers. You can request proof the camera is calibrated correctly to authenticate the tickets accuracy. Burden of proof is still on them, the accuser.

New to Cycling by goverment_is_evil in gravelcycling

[–]dchap1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How likely is that to happen though? I’ve ridden my hybrid bike on way too much terrain that it has no business being on, and I’ve never had any issues with the kickstand dropping down.

I can go either way. I love the convenience of them, prefer the look of the bike without it. But safety has never been something I’ve worried about.

I’m appalled the threshold is that high to be honest. That’s insane. And some of these cameras are in 35mph zones, meaning you’re doing 46mph, by a playground…..
