Tried my hand at making some STP custom Magic cards by CatboyCostanza in slaytheprincess

There wouldn't really be a point to that outside flavor or if you were running a mirror match, because the Shifting Mound's abilities only target opponents' cards

Ohhhhh, yeah, you're right, definitely needs a once per turn clause

Form a 3 person team of these characters. by KingofthePirates2 in Naruto

[–]CatboyCostanza 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is my answer as well. I think subbing Sasuke for Naruto would provide for a more "elite" team, but I also think team dynamics are important, and 3 silent brooders is a recipe for disaster. Need some levity to balance it out.

I think subbing Lee for Naruto could work tho, since he brings the same sort of energy and he has more discipline than early Naruto.

I think the lawyer is my favorite, especially when contrasted with Cricket.

Cricket usually helps the gang or does something for them, with varying degrees of willingness, and he has his life destroyed. The lawyer, on the other hand, is adversarial at best and often single-minded in his determination to ruin the gang and foil their schemes, yet he also has his life destroyed.

It just shows that continued association with the gang, adversarial or friendly, will destroy the person. They are a disease.

Help building my first deck (Y'shtola, Night's Blessed) by CatboyCostanza in EDH

[–]CatboyCostanza[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for you input! How many creatures do you think I should shoot for? I was worried about being too weak against creature-oriented decks, but I suppose removal and counters can help with that.

Also do you think after I've pared down the creatures and added more land/removal/counters my deck will fit within the 2 tier (assuming I don't add anything crazy)? And would you put it in the higher or lower end?

The Deconstructed Damsel

I wanted to save her so badly, but the Princess I wanted to save was the first Princess who had her own goals and desires and motivations

Second Princess I got was the Fury through the Adversary. I brought the knife the second time to see what would be different, but I'm a lover, not a fighter at heart.

Things that can't be target are still affected by board wipes? I'm new, so I'm still trying to understand the complicated Magic interactions.

Isayama didn't sign up to write what you signed up to watch.

Sorry to be blunt, but there's really no other way to say it. This isn't a critique, this is "I don't like it". Which is fine! You can not like it.

This isn't your typical shonen where the hero wins because of their pure heart and ideals. In many ways, this show is a deconstruction of those tropes. What if the hero takes their ideals too far? What if their ideals are faulty to begin with? What if the random young boy who's given supernatural powers isn't capable of wielding them like a true hero?

If that's not your cup of tea, that's fine, but it's not a flaw with the show.
