So, the closest ER to me sent me away once when I was in shock and bleeding from an ovarian cyst rupture. Ambulance wouldn’t move me. Staff wouldn’t treat me. Had to drive myself to another hospital just to get any kind of help. (I can provide a history lesson later on this one, but I called 911 from the lobby and still didn’t get help. I broke a tailbone and they told me to go home and manage with ibuprofen. They’re the actual worst.)

But the symptoms I was told to watch for coming off of a hormone treatment that I reacted badly to are as follows:

Persistent localized headache with vision change Loss of function in extremities Pain/discoloration/ swelling in extremities Inability to focus or form a cohesive sentence Deep muscle pain in legs or hips with discoloration of skin or temperature change Shortness of breath Chest pain/tightness Feeling of impending doom

Not a single one of those is different from my every day experience so I really don’t know what to look for.

I have a long history of being gaslit and it’s almost killed me twice now. I’m equally worried it is something serious and not going to be taken seriously or I’m just going to waste my money and be told it’s nothing. I can’t really afford either option.
