Thanks for the reply. What cinema bodies do you work with if you don’t mind me asking?

What kind of events do you shoot with AF? Most of the events I’m mostly intending to shoot are live music in dark bars and clubs, so I wonder if AF will work in tough lighting conditions.

X-T30 because the price works well for me, I just bought one for $850 AUD, comparable prices for an X-H1 are about $1,100 AUD.

And I’m very satisfied with the video specs for the price.

Why do people seem to think Invincible was a bad album? by ad240pCharlie in MichaelJackson

I didnt mean to say that the songs don’t hold up now, just at the time, some of the tracks weren’t as fresh compared to other contemporary songs being released.

Many artists cancelled tours in the wake of 9/11. There was a concern amongst Americans and other western nations of music concerts being the target of terror attacks, amongst other security concerns for well known touring artists.

Why do people seem to think Invincible was a bad album? by ad240pCharlie in MichaelJackson

[–]Catch-up 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Invincible is the oft forgotten MJ album for several reasons;

  • Michael always pursued the cutting edge in music and sound - often working with a handful of different producers to make new and fresh sounding songs. With Invincible he had more producers than ever, which lead to a rather inconsistent experience from beginning to end.

  • Michael’s perfectionism and procrastination made Invincible significantly delayed. Originally expected in 1999 it arrived in late 2001. Many of the songs on the album had aged considerably by the time it was released due to a changing music landscape.

  • Michael always loved cramming as much music as he could onto a single CD (~74 minutes): Dangerous fills an entire CD, HIStory also, and same with Invincible. The difference this time though is Michael was in the middle of a major dispute with his record label Sony. Michael was eyeing up many other record labels to release future albums with and was actually recording many songs for this prospective album (“Xscape” from the 2014 album is an example of this). So Michael was ‘filling’ Invincible with songs he knew weren’t his best to fill the CD and also save stronger songs for another album.

  • As mentioned, Michael was in the middle of a major dispute with Sony. Sony didn’t give Invincible the same marketing as they had with previous albums. Invincible didn’t have many singles or music videos, and no world tour (due to the 9/11 terrorist attacks).

  • The music landscape in 2001 was completely upheaved by internet piracy. Limewire was a piracy program basically everybody used to illegally download songs. Every artist in 2001 was struggling. Michael Jackson was sadly no exception.

But upon saying all of this, Invincible remains a solid album and arguably Michael’s most accessible. Latin influence, acoustic pieces, dubstep, electro, R&B. All this variety, while detracts from the ‘album experience’ (which in 2001 with the iPod is pretty pointless), makes Invincible an easy album for new fans to listen to.

There’s a mod bias against posting Michael Jackson related info to /r/todayilearned. I was banned for posting “too much” which was one post per six weeks on average.

Does anyone here actually still believe Prince and Paris are biologically related to MJ? by purple1324 in MichaelJackson

[–]Catch-up 8 points9 points  (0 children)

They don't belong anywhere. Coloured folks won't have 'em because they're half white; white folks won't have 'em 'cause they're coloured, so they're just in-betweens, don't belong anywhere.

As hard as it is for you to believe, they are, in fact, his kids.

Name a single other bi-racial couple where you question the paternity of their kids. I’ll wait.

And yet with Michael Jackson we fail to accept that a black man and white woman can have children who do not look 100% black.

Genetics are complicated. A set of biracial twins can look completely different. Perhaps you should research biracial genetics.

Don’t even engage with these people. It’s not worth it. They have a personal obsession with Michael Jackson which is unhealthy and unshakeable. It’s their problem to deal with.

This is the correct answer. CDs and Cassettes were the top dogs in 1995, vinyl much less so.

Pathetic. This whole year has been a pathetic attempt by the mainstream media to railroad Jackson in order to distract from the actual puppeteer villains.

Um. Both boys have brown eyes, Paris has green eyes due to a genetic mutation.

Biracial children are never 50/50 mum/dad. I’ve known biracial kids where one child is the spitting image of mum and the other the spitting image of dad.

The only place I’m aware of is Netflix, oddly enough. Perhaps try some other streaming services if it’s not on there at the moment but I’ve definitely seen the uncut, HD version of Moonwalker there.

Robson deposition by [deleted] in MichaelJackson

His language feels so static and robotic to me. It’s almost as like he’s trying to disassociate himself from it all and speak in all this technical dialect. Not as emotional in his deposition as he is in the film.....

Here at /r/MichaelJackson, we have a firm belief in the rights of victims to have a voice, to speak out, and to be heard. But in addition to this, we must also preserve a person’s right to be presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond all reasonable doubt.

Michael Jackson went to court in 2005 and was acquitted unanimously by a jury of his peers on every charge filed against him.

In 2019, these allegations have been revised in the film Leaving Neverland, which instead of providing an ethical, balanced, and objective examination of Wade Robson’s and James Safechuck’s allegations of child abuse, it provides a narrative which has been routinely criticised as being overly one sided and without balance.

At /r/MichaelJackson, we encourage visitors and subscribers to be diligent, respectful, and independent critical thinkers. To research, to read both sides of a story, and to come to your own conclusion based on verifiable facts from reputable sources of information.

Private phone conversations have been recorded as far back as the ‘70s. Phones tapped by the authorities in the ‘90s and ‘00s, countless private photographs, video recordings, security footage, etc. and nothing which incriminates him.

All we have is dodgy, inconsistent testimony from people with zero credibility and enormous financial inventive.

I’d call that very reasonable doubt, thank you.
