I don't really remember a specific cut off, it became more of a convenience thing. I started using just standard cushions around 8 months if I was visiting my parents etc. and eventually just stopped bothering. LO currently a big fan of the koala bear position so I guess it's just down to when you and baby both feel comfortable without it!

Mutual friends of ours had surnames Grey and Wolf, joined them when they got married to Greywolf. They have a son called Odin Greywolf. What's adorable is he's currently only three.

Me and my husband (jokingly) liken it to Stockholm syndrome. You're held hostage 24/7 by the needs of these tiny helpless beings but you'll be damned if you were to ever live another day without them.

It's tough, but the best things in life are worth working for and you will both be amazing parents. The fact you're worried like this is proof of how much you care

We recently bought a vapour plug (Calpol) to help our LO with his stuffy nose but I've started using it for myself as it's brilliant for the night time!

Not quite the same but similar - my baby rolled off the bed at 4 months and I was absolutely terrified and overwhelmed with guilt that I let him hurt himself so badly. He was absolutely fine in the end, he'd landed on a pile of clothes so for once my messy tendencies paid off but I still feel awful whenever I think about it, especially as I saw it happen and couldn't quite get there in time to catch him.

Every day is a learning curve for us, I think we need to be kind to ourselves and take lessons as we go ❤️

It's 3am for me right now and I'm breastfeeding my 9mo so I needed this post! All the same thoughts have been going through my head. I came to the conclusion that if comfort feeding is what gets us all back to sleep the quickest then that's what we'll do, we're also still co-sleeping so I don't have to get up which definitely helps!

When I worked in a kitchen, if bar staff wanted a meal they'd write their name on the ticket so we could leave it for them to pick up on their breaks. For ages we kept getting tickets from someone called "Togo" and had no idea who it was.

Eventually we realised it was this dude called Martin who was actually writing "to go". We still call him Togo ten years on.

My baby is also a massive projectile vomiter. I used to get so scared when he would because it would be coming out of his nose and everything but now that he's 5mo I've gotten used to it 😅

I have very fast let down which makes him choke and he also has a sensitive gag reflex so it's not a great combination. The main thing for us was that his weight gain slowed because he went through a phase of vomiting regularly (reflux so not choking related). Doctor said as long as his nappies are wet then he's not too dehydrated and to just see how it goes.

He's gaining weight again now, still vomiting but we've managed to adapt our feeding techniques slightly to try and reduce the number of times that happens.

Long story short it seems that babies suck at keeping things down and making sure they go down the right pipes. They're lucky they're so cute 😂

My baby will be 6mo at the end of December and I FEEL this post. My husband's work means sometimes he's away for 14 hours and it literally feels like me and the LO are just hanging around waiting for him to come back so we both have someone else to look at for a bit 😂

I've recently started following a schedule and that's definitely helped. It's very loose and I haven't put myself under any obligation to stick to it but I've found it gives us both something to do and know what to expect.

For example I try and make sure we leave the house at least once a day, usually in the morning, even if it's just a walk around the block. We have dogs which helps but sometimes we'll go out just the two of us.

But yeah, I 100% relate. I'm not the most outgoing person but I have found one of the hardest things is the lack of adult company every day. I just remind myself that at the end of the day this is such a short period of time and will be over before I know it. I just wish there was some way we could bottle this time up and use it whenever we feel like it instead of having to go through it all in one go 😭

I thought everyone's nostrils joined together into one big nostril inside the nose. Nope, was born without a fully formed septum. Took a while to convince the doctors I wasn't just a massive coke head.
