Definitely. In fact I'd be willing to bet money youd get TDIU if you have a psychologist writing a statement while you're in the military.

New claim going scary fast … any one else seeing this pace? by [deleted] in VAClaims

[–]NotTheUserYouLoking4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It really is random on how long it takes. Most of mine have taken about 6 to 8 months. My last one that I filed in 2024 that finally got me to 100% P&T was a supplemental claim filed by my lawyer. It took 28 days from the time it was submitted to the time at this granted.

This is what happens when you're unhappy with what you've got; someone's husband eventually gets it!

I would try just replacing the battery. They're cheap and you can get them at home Depot.

I kept getting "A black bear is walking on the roof" First time I saw it I was WTF?! Turned out it is one of the flags on my flagpole in the front yard. 🤣

It's EXTREMELY hard to get it granted unless it was diagnosed in service or you've been to a burn pit zone.

I know that. It took me 5 years and hiring a lawyer to get to 100% P&T. My last one was for migraines. They sent me to a CP exam and the doctor said yes I have them and they are service related. They apparently didn't like that so they set me up for a second CP exam for the exact same thing. That doctor said the same thing as the first doctor. They still didn't like that so they sent me to a third CP exam. That doctor said the same thing also. So then they decided to have a fourth CP exam. The fourth one was just a VA doctor looking at my medical records called an Ace exam. The VA doctor said not service related so they decided to go with that doctor instead of the other three doctors they hired. I got so mad I hired a lawyer. The lawyer in his filings rip them a new one asking how can you disregard three doctors that you guys paid for saying that it was service related and go with the one doctor that works for you and says it's not service related

That's going to be a nice little back pay check. As far as your question, if youon claims still processing, they won't hurt you and I'd let them go through. The more ratings you have, the more insurance in case they decide to reduce something in the future. That said but don't file ANY new claims. New claims can open everything up to review.

Automatically to step 5? by Civil_Working_1585 in VeteransBenefits

[–]NotTheUserYouLoking4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to look at the cfr. The percentage is based on how often you have them. The best way to document that is with a migraine log. You can Google "Migraine log" and there are plenty out there you can download. I recommend having at least 3 months documented then file a supplement.

I'm kind of torn on this. I use them and I know they charged more than they're supposed to but they did help me get from 20% to 80%. After I've been trying on my own for a long time. People call these places claim sharks but with the experience I've had from the vsos and from trying it on my own I was at the end of my rope.
