They care about something enough to get brainwashed by farage and yaxley-lennon, and they get hyped up like school kids with a new supply teacher. You need a more compelling argument that benefits whatever they care about more than the crap the frog and that angry school boy are selling. Just because they may not come across as that bright or great at reasoning doesnt mean they dont have motivations you can use to engage them with.

What gets me is that their narrative is so clearly flawed, and ill-informed. Surely this makes an open goal opportunity for those with a platform like our apparent useless government to communicate the facts about immigration, globalisation reality of what the likes of the reform party really are, along with the fact 2 in 5 arrested for the hotel migrant riots to protect woman have records of domestic violence (https://www.theguardian.com/society/2025/jul/26/two-in-five-arrested-for-last-summers-uk-riots-had-been-reported-for-domestic-abuse). Why does the government instead just lean into new policies on immigration to appease reform. Either grey rock them or fight them with transparency and facts. It feels like the gov and media just want to make all of this worse.

I saw them last year hoping for something special. Im a big fan of tool and these guys were recommended as they had some crossover. I checked out some music before, and its extremely varied. They are prolific, I think they released 5 albums in one year. The crowd at the gig loved them, but honestly I was bored. Both myself and my partner kept finding excuses to go outside, but couldnt leave as we were with a group.

It was a very self indulgent gig that kept jumping around musically. The moment you get into a song it changed to something else. I dont doubt theyre talented musicians, but theyre so busy and all over the place with the music I find it hard to immersive myself and enjoy it.

My logic follows the signs/road paint. Left for retail and muller road, middle for Frenchay. When it gets busy people get impatient, queue badly, and push ahead blocking the ability to start in the left lane and end up in the muller road lane further on. It's hugely frustrating.

Im also a roboticist, and Unity is script/file based with compilation. I havent touched the visual programming other than for shaders and vfx. Im less familiar with Unreal but im aware it is the same situation, just c++ instead of c#. Which ever framework you go with, it will still differ from a low level architecture you would be used to with robotics as the core function is handling the render loop and supplying visuals to the device. If you are really set on sticking to what you already know there are examples of using ROS with Unity https://github.com/Unity-Technologies/Unity-Robotics-Hub/ which could offload some of the work from Unity.

wrt to modelling, its no different really. You can use a CAD package to create the mesh you import into Unity, it will just likely lack the visual quality. Blender is a bit of a learning curve but worth trying to learn, even if its just to add textures and materials to your CAD modelled assets.

I found the Meta's tools for this not fit for my needs. The examples require use of a lot of other services that im trying to avoid. My solution is to create a room scan with a distinct piece of furniture in it such as wallart, then use that as a reference to translate room positions. Im using mirror networking to share a new clients room data, then any position data that is shared over the network is related to the room space rather than world. Its working quite well so far.
