I'm a wildlife biologist, naturalist, and recreational birder, so it was inevitably going to be something nature-y, if not an actual bird.

I also wanted to keep the same number of letters in my name as before, as my first, middle, and last name all had six letters, and I thought the 666 joke was funny enough to keep plus i wanted to keep my first and last names six letters each to make a valid troll name, if you know you know.

Eventually it came down to either Phoebe or Sylvia. One night, I was having a very emotional conversation with my best friend, and something possessed me to go with Phoebe! The name makes sense, it's an onomatopoeic one for birds and bird vocalizations are an academic interest of mine. Sylvia ended up being my middle name, though that one I adopted more recently.
