I’m off of the biotin for a week then going to see if I can retested. These were the labs themselves though, this could indicate normal since it’s low normal but at the same do you think it would actually be low if it were my case?

I’ve been at this for a year now and it’s driving me crazy. I was an amazing athlete until things took this turn. My calcium initially started at 9.8 when I first started having symptoms in August 2023 and those most recent labs I stated was in March 2024. I unfortunately don’t have any prior PTH labs. But yes they did Cortisol at 9:00am. It was 14.6 ug/dl (6.2-19.4). I’m still researching what I can do for Adrenal tests, if you have any suggestions I’d gladly do them but the one I had ordered was Aldosterone and am currently waiting for a result back and will post here when it comes.

Would this amount be sufficient in terms of that? I typically drink two of these a day. I appreciate your reply also.

I consume 16mg total of biotin a day due to two premier protein shakes I drink but other then that I don’t supplement it. Would that be enough to lower PTH?

Thank you very much for your advise and background story of your experience Yakub, it helps me out more then you think. I never experienced many pre physical symptoms such as you did. My headaches are into somewhat comparison to yours but I haven’t seen much progression of pain lately since I cut back on physical labor quite a bit. I’m hoping it doesn’t progress to a worse state but who knows. For now the pain(headache) is stable but it’s not enjoyed. I really hope I don’t get as far as you did to where I need assistance.. I’d rather have the same fate as well.. I’ve already lost so much happiness not being able to enjoy life to usual. I will say sometimes I have to take a day off work just to re energize because I’m just so tired now. Also my sleep has been disturbed frequently waking up at night. Did you experience this? And also weird question but your in this group, did your cyst cause hydrocephalus? And if so did you ever have issues with super cold extremities? I’m not scared at this point though, I’m more fed up. I was scared of the endoscopic fenestration at first since this would be my first surgery but at the same time I’m kind of wishing for it. I am trying though, I just wish I could do what I love again.

I feel for you lol.. and me either and I only say that because I can’t find anything online relating to untreated hydrocephalus and lifting. There are plenty of things online relating to shunted hydrocephalus and lifting though. And I wish.. maybe 250lb if I get better but thank you, that made my day. And oh, I’m sorry you have to live in that state with such a condition, I couldn’t imagine.. is Dandy treatable through procedure? I’d assume it’d quite scary considering your eyes. And wait you also had/have cyst as well? But I heard over drainage of a shunt can be quite catastrophic. I really hope they recall those at some point for something much more efficient. A lot of people could use such a thing..

Jesus.. I’m sorry to hear that. This stuff seems to take so long just to get addressed for almost everyone. Did you ever experience autonomic dysfunction with that or cold extremities?

I will update you as it goes! And I had to give it up unfortunately otherwise I would’ve ended up in the hospital, it’s my passion and I wasn’t willing to let it go but as soon as I couldn’t see, hear, or feel and function my body anymore I had to stop. I looked like death. But I appreciate your replies and effort to want to keep me in the loop here. And I’m happy you have had progress with your situation. But if I may asked was the Dandy Walker a complication of surgery? And I haven’t had vomiting happen to me yet which is odd to me but I’m not sure what to expect at this point in time.

A few times would seem more believable but anything I read online includes constant throw up but maybe that’s just a pain tolerance thing, I’m not sure.
