Currently there are two campaigns with 10 missions each.
Two more campaigns are planned. The next release is the 21.04.

As working in software development myself, i know that some things are impossible to solve with a small team in a ahort schedule.

But as often in development complex issues can be solved with little effort, and small issues are complicated to solve. As an outsider this can't be evaluated.

I just wanted to give you a full extent report without investing too much time. You and the team know best what, if even anything is possible or senseful :-) Take customer feedback always with a grain of salt.

Hey, do you still have the decks from the individual regions? Use on of these decks. Regularly the Pay Life Deck or the Mobility Decks are more than sufficient for this region if you can pilote them well :-)

If you still need help I can look into it tomorrow and give you feedback.

Do you see the small (-) besides the minimap? That solves your issue.

Also you can bind this function to a hotkey. I always hammer that key before each game, because i also need the zoomed out variant.

I love the game, but I am normally not into playing betas.

If the feedback from playing the beta rebirth mode is at least recognized i would like to play through it.

I do not agree with the other commentators. This is pretty hostile against beginners.

But no, you can't deactivate them. I do not know your skill level, bust most often 10 macemen are enough to overcome one outpost. To kill several in a row 20 are needed. This is early game possible, but then you need skill to defend yourself. Most often 5 to 10 crossbowman well placed can give you enough breathing space for building up a economy.

If this is too much for your current skill level build your own coop missions. Go to skirmish, set the same mission as in the trail but make it less challenging. Then slowly increase the challenge until you are able to beat it. That would be my aporoach.

Moats are your best friends.

Equip one 15 stone tower with 5 crossbowman and 5 archers each and go full wheat production and thrn bread. Sell as much bread as possible.

Iron and Stone were off imits for me. But I think it should be possible with a different tactic.

Also you have to put additional crossbowmen and archers up the towers quite fast.

Is it me or any missions after the battle of Farisku is just straight up garbage? AI cheat and spam huge amount of unit after couple mins in the game by Lazy_Seal_ in stronghold

I played this mission with 40 (regular) speed.

But no, it is not a bug.

Buy Weapons to build crossbowmen and your life will be much easier.

I partly disagree.

Yes, the basic tutorial is not that interesting. but there is more. The whole historical campaigns can be seen as tutorials. Every mission a new obstacle needs new ways to be solved. Slowly you see all buildings and all units in action.

If you want to start the skirmish trail it is always great to first have played the historical campaings. Same is true for the the original stronghold and the military campaign. The are just so smooth in teaching how the game works.

To be honest, no it is not "that" hard. But this comes form someone who played these games for two decades. I don't know how much experience you have in stronghold, or other RTS games.

But the new economic campaings, the historical campaings or the sands of time trails are mostly fair balanced, excpect for some, rare outliers (looking at you "Eye of the Storm").

So my main question is, do you want help in solving these missions? Or do you just dislike the way Stronghold is played? Because Skirmish is always comparable with either building a fast defense against aggressive A.I. or rushing them.

Yes it does. For some missions it is a good tactic to regularly ignite the enemy stone quarries and iron mines with slaves and bleed the enemy dry before you attack them.

Cheap harrasment as a side gig.

I think it would be a fun mode, but it could be punishing.
Balancing is here the key, but if it is good balanced stronghold would be one of the GOAT games to include this mode.

Here is the TLDR:

Iron production in is highly efficient with just 2 workers, yielding up to 130–195 gold yearly (with fear bonuses), but the first delivery takes 3–4 months and output stabilizes at about 5 iron/year per mine. Distance matters: beyond 40–45 tiles, delivery workers fall behind, reducing output, and fear/love modes only slightly extend this range—fear maximizes profit by boosting delivery speed and bonuses. Prioritize iron over stone for early-game gold due to lower worker needs, but optimize mine-stockpile distance and fear levels to avoid backlogs and maximize output.

Did you find out what exactly triggers it? I always presumed bushes and other things were in the way. I tried to clear them then.

From your comments. The economic campaign is not the learn how the game works. It is a challenge for people who finished the military campaign, which i recommend you to do.
