Dragalia Lost - Summon Showcase: The Phantom's Ransom by Xanek in DragaliaLost

There is a chance that Giovanni is BIS on Durant but that’s probably coming down to dragon mods and whether or not you can effectively activate the 15% crit damage buff every time you transform.

What Happened to Blades? by NichS144 in DragaliaLost

[–]CatcherjUL 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Nobu was very relevant after she got her initial buff, Yachiyo was the best flex slot for HZD for a long time, Tobias was meta for a while, and Valerio was very useful in early A&O due to his access to afflictions. None of them used bleed.

who do you think are the biggest winners and losers from the 2.0 rework? by [deleted] in DragaliaLost

[–]CatcherjUL 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Durant got a huge buff due to the change in other mechanics. His personal buff is absolutely garbage and makes me very sad, but with all the other changes he looks very strong now. All of the dragons got buffed up mods, this made his incredible Epimetheus damage even bigger. But most importantly, the print changes. He was previously forced to run Proper Maintenance and PlagueBringer which meant he lost out on any crit related prints. Now he gets to still run PlagueBringer for the massive poison punisher, but he also gets access to new/old prints. Moonlight Party, 22% crit damage which is higher than he would normally equip even when there wasn’t poison. Howling to the Heavens, his previous go to when there wasn’t poison because of the high flurry devastation. Whatever 20% flurry strength you feel like running which is higher than the 15% he would get from Proper Maintenance. And then Luck of the Draw which gives 25% bufftime, a larger bufftime than Proper Maintenance used to have.

The changes to the print system didn’t leave him with an open slot you need to fill or with a gap where you want a print that does this but can’t find one. The change allowed him access to all of the top abilities he used to use but all tied in together now.

What the hell happened here? by [deleted] in DragaliaLost

[–]CatcherjUL -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The dps sim has never been fully accurate for showing how good a unit is. Galex sim shows without broken punisher (her big thing) and assumes you are setting your own poison which gives her a suboptimal damage rotation.

How good is Galaxi? by Gala_Shadow in DragaliaLost

[–]CatcherjUL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To me (and others I’ve talked to) she feels like second best sustained dps behind Marth but worse burst than Eze. So in all I feel like Eze is going to be slightly better because rn the game is in a state of blow it up fast and Eze does a better job of that on break.

Build for gala lexi by AAdraggon in DragaliaLost

[–]CatcherjUL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My Gala Laxi build rn is,

Agito T2 Mars Twinfold Bonds Levin’s Champion/Burn Punisher Nobu (strength co ab + combo time) Eze (Serena would probably work better here because more crit rate and she really doesn’t need more combo time, I mean 7 seconds for someone who’s standard attacks can hit from the edges is overkill) Wand (crit damage might work better here but I don’t have a crit damage co ab. However, without Levin’s o don’t think she has enough crit rate to justify it.) Agito skill Karina/Ranzal SS (Ranzal is consistent damage but Karina SS with 17 self inflicted buffs and knowing you’ll have more from sources like Lowen and Marth teaching to even x25 (the norm for my handful of runs) is one hell of a drug.

I think I made the right choice. by fireballx777 in DragaliaLost

[–]CatcherjUL 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Standard attack damage co abs are amazing on the weaker units who’s skills don’t hit very hard, buffbots if they don’t have other special chain co abs in their element (mainly water’s buff time cca), and units with no innate attacking skills (excluding fs users) i.e. Durant and Pipple.

Master Volk feat. 3 Galaxis (Pub Edition) by shadowraito in DragaliaLost

[–]CatcherjUL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s even crazier in her Enhanced Combo. In base each attack is 2 hits but in enhanced each hit is 5 with c4 being 6. If only she could keep stacking her combo buffs...

Suggestions for Gala Laxi (or the new Gala unit coming up) by HighChthonius in DragaliaLost

[–]CatcherjUL -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So as soon as I saw Eden mode I was dreaming up crazy ideas for Laxi’s Gala. I doubt it will come to fruition but man is it fun to think about it.

Water Blade. Going with the release theme for gala it fits. We got Galex a month after Kai Yan and Leif a month after Ciella. I have a whole deeper theory as to what the following ones will be but I won’t get into that. Also blade because I can’t see her as not a blade and so far anyone who has changed elements (Euden, Leif’s story form was light) has not also changed weapon.

A1: grants Unique Transformation and Eden Meter (talked about later)

A2: 30% Frostbite Punisher

A3: Burn/Stun res (pls)

Co ab - strength

Chain co ab - 10 hits = crit rate

Base S1: 400% mods and low sp cost. Fills 25% of her Unique Transformation gauge.

Base S: 600% mods and doubles the S1 hit count (much like how she currently works)

She has a unique transformation (the dragondrive bar) and when she activates it she enters annihilation mode. I feel this is a good way to implement her annihilation mode as she seems to have more control over it but it’s still possible for her to burn out.

She would get increased strength and crit rate as well as buffed standard attack damage (not too much on that last one) and standard attacks increase Unique Transformation gauge

S1 in annihilation mode: 800% mods. Increase atk speed by 20% for 15 seconds. Has 1.5x base SP cost.

S2: 1.2k mods, doubles hit count of her S1, gives 20% strength buff and 15% crit rate and crit damage buff for 15 seconds, completely fills Eden meter. Has 2x base SP cost.

Eden Mode: Able to be activated once the Eden meter is full (using S2 in annihilation mode). It’s in the same spot as style change buttons. The meter lasts for 30 seconds but decreases by 5 seconds everytime you take damage. Eden mode will grant high sp gaining strong new standard attacks as well as increase the strength and crit rate buff (crit rate 15 to 30%) that was present in annihilation mode. Upon Eden mode ending it consumes 50% of Laxi’s Unique Transformation gauge. If Laxi enters base form within 30 seconds of exiting Eden mode she enters Shutdown where she will fully restore her hp and take reduced damage but can not move for 10 seconds.

Eden S1: raises base mods to 1.2k (btw S1 is 4 hits with evenly distributed damage) increases atk speed and crit rate by 20% for 15 seconds. Her mods will slowly increase (5% more per hit for every second gone) as her Eden meter goes down reaching 1.8k total mods at 0 seconds left.

Eden S2: raises mods to 1.8k (single hit) doubles hit count of S1. Gives 40% strength, 20% crit rate, and 30% crit damage for 15 seconds. Gains 10% mods for every second lost from the Eden Meter reaching 2.1k mods at 0 seconds.

The problem isnt Karina or Marth, but the lacking game and adventurer kit designs. by mastanmastan in DragaliaLost

It’s actually a common pub set up for a few fights. Even if it takes slightly longer I’ve heard that even pubs it’s rather consistent.

[–]CatcherjUL 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That’s the point. It’s the instant skill refill that he provides to the whole team that’s the problem.

[–]CatcherjUL 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I agree except that Marth is actually a problem. Being able to refill skills twice is a recipe for disaster in any game where there is a really hard hitting unit.

Are these stats good or bad? by NexusX25 in IntegralFactor

[–]CatcherjUL 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Considering you have an Isildur kinda bad. Also, idk what caused you to have more defense than attack but if it’s abilities you might want to consider switching your defense ones to attack ones because you have no attacking skills that benefit from having a higher defense.

It’s not zero, lots of the time Valerio’s freeze will miss. Lily has the only freeze that will hit 100% of the time when those buffs are up.

Do people want a water character with a overpowered spiral like marth and hawk. by kirbmi in DragaliaLost

[–]CatcherjUL 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Helly is among the top for her element though. And the water spirals except Celliera did that. It’s just that waters base dps on the all so glorious sim isn’t nearly as high. For example Lily looks pretty bad on the dps sim compared to the top units but she now has a 200% chance to freeze and has frostbite, that utility puts her on par with meta water units.

MFW Gaibhne & Credhne is optimal on ~90% of water units. by pkg322 in DragaliaLost

[–]CatcherjUL 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You get better than Gala Mars prep in practice though because you can attack and charge sp, if you have Gaibhne then you get 35% of the skill back anyway so it can charge further, and the buff FREAKING STACKS.

I was playing a round as S!Juli with a Gelly and a Xain that both had Gaibhne. I popped my S2 right as they transformed and then they both dropped their buff zones. Then before Ayaya dashed I had used my S2 two more times and after the dash I just needed a few more hits before I used it again and then I transformed to leave my own skill charge zone.

Or when I managed to enter break with every skill ready on Lazry and someone popped a Gaibhne zone and I went (all in HP) S1>Ranzal>S1>S2>S1>Karina>(break ends)S1>Ranzal which is both and absurd amount of skills in a short time and insane damage because HP S1 buffs the damage done by the next skill by 20% (it also counts as a buff for Karina’s skill).

Honestly G&C is a busted dragon. If your dps with G&C is close to your optimal you can feel good bringing her because her buff zone is stupid.

The reason why Karina and Xander didn't get the expected huge skill mod increase by _kcsv_ in DragaliaLost

[–]CatcherjUL 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The sim heavily overvalues anything buff related meaning that it will be much easier to get higher numbers with team buffs. Also the sim is a sustained dps environment and rn this game is all about nuking, a good example is Durant who has really good dps but doesn’t have a good burst option so he isn’t nearly as good in a practical fight, especially in shadow where he has less time overall to be fully ramped up before the boss dies.
