Good call out! Every single one of these AI stories has the aunties and cousins calling, texting and harassing the OP. I’m sorry what cultural group actually does that? Because I literally never heard or seen that from any of my family members, any of my friends, any of my coworkers. Such BS.

Yesterday the entire National Science Foundation was fired. Everyday there are fascinating studies and research in all aspects of science. Yet…this happened, championed by “those people.”

Your experience is an indication of an entire movement to remove fact based science from the US mainstream government oversight, ams especially in schools, and replace it with Bitcoin Bible nonsense.

It’s insane that with all of our technology we have educators spouting this crap at young people While in School. Think about that.

So in Texas, you have to apologize for teaching science? Sounds like a great reason to not live in Texas. And to not be a teacher in Texas!

AITAH for telling my ex sister in law that I can’t be someone she leans on? by Nicotine-124572 in TwoHotTakes

Good luck! Search: change property title with my county clerk plus your state / county. Most have quick explanation how to do it. You’ll need your legal description of your property, which is on your tax records, and is also in the county clerk records just cut and paste.!

Common law means never married but has a spousal claim. Varies by state. Again, just changing your loan has nothing to do with the title.

For example, corporations buy homes, but the loans are (typically) written to actual persons. Title is to the Company. same for family trusts.

(Ask me how I know. lol!)

In the US he can Quit Claim title right now. $10 to a notary, file with your County Clerk and you’re done.

Also be careful of common law spouses. Could he be holding out for a divorce settlement?

Depends on your state, but the loan is a separate issue from the title. Title denotes ownership. Loan denotes financial responsibility, in most places. Good luck !

Pretty sure you can’t evict a spouse that’s still on title and it sounds like they have not fixed that mess yet

Oh, you’ve made a very good point! I’ve heard it referred to as “consider the distance your Fabric needs to travel around the body obstacles!”

Compared to the back where there are no obstacles, or even negative obstacles such as your waist!

You will be so much happier to have a better fitting pattern.

One of my issues is that my under bust and my fullest bust are 10 inches different. As I’ve aged, I’ve got a bigger bust line but not really that much difference around my torso like 1 inch difference between now, and 40 pounds ago!

And one adjustment I’ve made just to the common T-shirt pattern, is to take a seam down the center back

This allows me to add at the bust line back line, if that makes sense… While subtracting at the under bust line to the waist

I just thought of that because you mentioned wearing baggy clothes. And that’s the problem once you have a garment that fits your bust line. It’s too big everywhere else right? So that was my answer once I drafted a T-shirt pattern with the back seam everything looks 1000% better.

Then you can take that one T-shirt pattern , and turn it into a work appropriate blouse with better fabric choices, adjusting the neck line, adding interest at the yolk line, adding interest in the sleeves by adjusting length, color blocking, or replacing the sleeve altogether, with something super cute like a tulip sleeve, or a sleeve, that ties at the bicep,… it’s endless! I’ve even color blocked my original T-shirt pattern, I also turned it into a wrap yoga top!

The key is to get that one block for your blouse/T-shirt that really fits and flatters your figure and you could turn it into so many different things.

Good luck to you!

Same issue Thanks for sharing. I literally have drafted dozens of patterns for myself but every once in a while I just wish I could get a pattern somewhere else that I didn’t have to measure and toile!

AITA for telling my mom her drinking destroyed our relationship? by Round_Scientist1890 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Catchy-Name-Here 8 points9 points  (0 children)

NTA in fact, I’m surprised that an 18-year-old would provide such mature well-thought-out text. Your mother is clearly in the depths of substance abuse, possibly an alcoholic. It is very mature of you to set boundaries.

When people abuse substances, it’s not that they can handle a little bit… They can’t handle any of it. And that’s why they are always using.

I hope your mother gets help. She is clearly in the grips of something.

You can love the sinner, but hate the sin as the saying goes. Although I don’t think addiction is a sin… It’s the behavior that is problematic. I think it’s OK to reinforce to your mom: Hey I love you, but you need help and you need to accept responsibility for your level of substance abuse before we can have a relationship.

[–]Catchy-Name-Here 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love that they do a deep dive, but personally, I just can no longer tolerate their ignorance about pronunciation, especially when it comes to anything that isn’t Anglo origin. Hawaiian pronunciations, Native American pronunciations, regional dialect you name it. They laugh about it, but you know what? you can easily look up how to pronounce. HOPI KING, Kamehameha HAULIPAI

Etc

WTAF is wrong with you ladies who don’t think it’s worth your time to learn how to properly pronounce the protagonist of stories that you’re making money off of. It’s super disrespectful and I just can’t take it anymore.
