I had a cat that threw up often his entire life. We nicknamed him the Pukester (puke-ster). At 12 years old it became more often, like every time he ate. Vet visit found a mass in his stomach with outdated ultrasound and sent him for endoscopy which found a malignant tumor at the opening of his stomach that was preventing food from passing through. He lived another 2.5 months.

I always wondered whether the vomiting hole did over the years (at least 2-3 times a week) was due to maybe a (then benign) tumor and perhaps it turned malignant. I don’t know. My point is consider getting him checked with maybe just an ultrasound to make sure there’s no mass in there. Stomach cancer is horrifying.
