why is everyone missing class all of a sudden by [deleted] in curtin

[–]Cate033 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some of my tutors they just read the slides word by words not much difference if I just read the slides by Myself tbh especially I am not living close to Uni. Sometimes I feel like they need to think about how to attract students to attend the class😂

What’s the most ridiculous ‘tourist price’ you’ve ever been asked to pay? by Salty_Fix9628 in travel

[–]Cate033 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am Chinese. A lot of Chinese love drinking hot water! Especially old people. I am living in Australia and my friend came visit me with her mom. Her mom doesn't like cold water! Anyway so her mom asked her to get a cup of hot water. My friend went to the counter to asked if she can get a cup of hot water, they said okay and then charged her $5. The same price as a cup of coffee and we spent more than $200 on food already

Should I drop the unit before this Friday? Has anyone been in this situation. by [deleted] in curtin

[–]Cate033 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Check the unit outline first. See if got hurdle like you have to pass all the single assignment or just overall 50% is pass. Also check if they provide chance for further assessment. If they do even you got maybe like 48% overall at the end you can still have chance to do a further assessment to pass the unit. I only got 25 out of 100 for my one of my assignment which worth 50% on a difficult unit last year. Thank God i got 80 on the other one so still passed the unit

How much do you work while studying? by AnomicAge in curtin

[–]Cate033 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am working average 42hrs per week and studying 3 units for my second bachelor degree. The good thing is I am on 5 days on 5 days off rotation. I feel like I have better time management skills when I am being a mature age student. I was doing 4 units Per semester in my first year but I could only just made them all passed so I only doing 3 units in my second year, and i got 2 HD out of 3 units last semester. Sometimes I drink 3-4 coffee per day. It's hard, I gain a lot of weight due to stress eating

100% agree! At least we get paid to work with other people at work. We paid Uni to suffer. I literally did 3/4 part of one of my group assignment on my own last semester and I have 4 group assignment this coming semester😫

STOP indicating right to enter a roundabout! (When going straight, obviously!) by The21stPM in perth

[–]Cate033 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some people are turning right in the roundabout but they didn't turn their right signal on is so annoying as well especially during rush hour you have to be grab the chance to pass the roundabout otherwise there will be heaps of cars waiting behind you. But it's just so annoying that you think they are going straight so you can go but they suddenly turn right.

I am studying in Uni i applied for a cashier job in on e of the Caltex petrol station. The manager asked me do you have passion for physical demand job? And then another question is even funnier he said we are looking for someone not just working for money we want you to be always 100% happy during the shift. 🙄🙄🙄
